This is a family owned small restaurant. Don’t be fooled by their business name: “bread food”. They don’t bake any bread. They serve house made noodles, dumplings, and a variety of meat filled streamed buns. They also sell frozen dumplings and plain buns (mantau).

They close at 8pm, be there before 7:15 pm or the chef will come out and show his attitude. The young waitress is polite.

The house made noodles are fresh and dente. Very food. The dumplings come with dip sauce made out with fresh ground garlic, very spicy. Will return and try other items.

I’m so grateful this place is still open. This is the authentic taste of Northern China. For more than 10 years this place has offering great food to east LA. What’s beyond the food is the striving spirit this tiny restaurant has showed us. If you work hard, if you are persistent, if you truly believe in yourself, you can build a home and a business starting with nothing. American dream, whatever dream. You can make any dream come true. Just shut the mouth and get work done. Highly recommend Sanxianlubao- a pan fried bread like dumpling with chives+ shrimp filling

Really sweet dumpling spot, we loved the vegetable dumplings and steamed beef bao buns. Service was fast and efficient. Garlic sauce was excellent, my boyfriend didn’t love the chilli sauce though.

My favorite frozen dumpling location, homemade like my grandparent make it! Their hot food is great too, intestines are 5/5!

Food was delicious! We got the pork boiled sole Chinese dumpling (amazing) and the ribs soup…The broth was mind-blowing. Card min is 25$ with $0.25 service fee. They did not speak English but that didn’t stop us from doing our best to communicate with each other. Good food – good people – what more could we ask for!
