Pyrenees French Bakery has been making the best sourdough bread for over seventy-five years. Nothing compares. They bake it all right here in the back. The wonderful smell of baked bread will hit you when you walk in.
They also sell other types of bread and rolls here.
Go to any Basque restaurant in Bakersfield and you will find they only serve Pyrenees French sourdough bread.
They don’t do credit cards here, be sure to bring your dough.

Update: They now take card! So thankful to be able to enjoy this local business and have our traditional sourdough bread that has been loved for 4 generations now. We go weekly to get our sour and french loaf with an occasional round or roll order.
If you’re in Bakersfield this is a must get!

This is the best Bakery around! I love the breads they make, Rye, dark, French sourdough, if you have not ever smelled baking bread and it is an experience you need to enjoy. So take the time and go get some FRESH bread!!!
