Pye Boat Noodle
Star Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

Pye Boat Noodle is one of those places where the wait feels less like an inconvenience and more like a quiet reassurance that something good is coming. And it is. What you’re rewarded with is Thai comfort food that’s confident, deeply satisfying, and absolutely worth your time.

The beef boat noodle soup is the clear standout. Its dark, aromatic broth carries a gentle sweetness balanced by rich, savory depth—comforting, soulful, and endlessly slurpable. Each bowl feels thoughtfully composed, the kind of dish that stays with you long after the table is cleared.

Don’t skip the crispy chive pancakes. Golden and crackling at the edges, tender within, they offer a perfect contrast to the richness of the noodles. Savory, fragrant, and addictive, they’re the kind of side that quickly becomes essential rather than optional.

Prices are refreshingly reasonable, especially for food this satisfying, and the service is genuinely warm—friendly, efficient, and unpretentious even during busy hours. There’s a natural rhythm to the place that makes everything feel easy once you’re seated.

Pye Boat Noodle doesn’t rely on trends or spectacle. It delivers honest Thai flavors, executed with care and consistency. Worth the wait, worth the return visit, and unquestionably deserving of five stars.

Went to Pye Boat Noodles in Broadway, Queens and everything was outstanding.
The chive/scallion pancakes were an easy 100/10 — crispy, flavorful, and addictive.
The Pad Gra Prow was absolutely perfect with bold, well-balanced seasoning, and the Pad See Ew was rich, savory, and cooked just right. Every dish hit. If you’re in Astoria and love Thai food, this spot is a must. Can’t wait to come back.

This was my first time visiting this place and I loved the food,I believe you get what you pay for, sized portion and flavor speaking. This place had an amazing fried rice and the other two dishes we ordered with my friend were delightful too! I also ordered the gin gin mule, which was good too!

Came here with a group of 5 people and the food and service were very good.
We had some appetizers that were normal in their taste but my main plate was very good: beef pad thai.
The service was superb and the atmosphere excellent . I had a Thai beer which was a good accompaniment.
I will definitely comeback here again .

Pye Boat Noodle in Astoria is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it gets, and then some. I ordered the Kway Teow Kake Shrimp, and it was phenomenal. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the sauce had just the right balance of spice and depth, and the shrimp were fresh, plump, and full of flavor. Every bite was rich, comforting, and beautifully layered with that authentic Thai taste that’s so hard to find.

The staff were warm and attentive, the space has a cozy, vibrant energy, and the food came out quickly, but clearly with care.

Pye Boat Noodle is a great spot to try Thai boat noodles .
The beef boat noodle broth here is quite good, especially for those who enjoy a slightly sweet flavor . The Pad See Ew is decent and flavorful, though it’s a bit on the dry side .

I absolutely love this restaurant! It’s become my go-to spot whenever I’m craving the authentic tastes of home. This place truly stands out, not just for its amazing food, but for its unique atmosphere.

I am a huge fan of their Boat Noodles (Kuay Teow Reua).
This restaurant does an amazing job of capturing the true essence of my country’s cuisine. Every time I eat here, it reminds me of home. I will definitely be back again and again. This is a little restaurant that I will keep coming back to!

I went with a group to Pye boat noodle and it was a very good experience. The decor and vibe of the place felt tropical and cool. There is a large outdoor seating space in the back which is a great feature. We ordered a variety of entrees and all were delicious. Staff very friendly and service was fast. Pricing was very reasonable considering the quality and serving sizes.

Pye Boat is a beloved favorite in Astoria. They are a fun hawker take on Thai food, so their menu is a bit off the beaten path of what you would find at most Thai restaurants. Hawker-style has a market stall, street food feel and their interior is decorated to match the vibe too.

They specialize in boat noodles bowls in aromatic broths, topped with meat and veggies. I can only speak on behalf of the vegetarian items there and there is a decent selection for vegetarians, lots of wok noodles and noodle soups that can be made with tofu, seitan, and veggies. There are a handful of vegetarian appetizers too. However, I will say their vegetarian options, while hearty, may not have as strong of a flavor pallet as the meat items—I’d recommend this place more for meat eaters.

I’m a big fan of their wok noodles and papaya salad! Definitely give it a try if you’re in Astoria!
