PY Steakhouse at Casino Del Sol is a must in Tucson. My favorite was the truffled prime rib eye starter – rich, tender, and packed with flavor. The baked oysters were also a solid opener. For the main, I went with the 26oz Cowboy Ribeye (USDA Prime, Del Bac whiskey rubbed, dry-aged in house) topped with lobster and truffle butter (they were out of shaved truffles, but the butter was a fantastic substitute). To pair it all, I tried the WhistlePig Flight (18yr Double Malt, 21yr Beholden, and Boss Hog X) – worth every sip. Outstanding service

definitely recommend.

The absolute best service by Jeniah and Steve.. the food is over the top and it was my birthday and we could not have picked a better place. Who would have thought that a steakhouse in a casino one of the best if not the best restaurants in Tucson. Have you ever seen somebody just bring out a dessert menu for your birthday as a freebie with a variety of desserts that you would never see any restaurant.

First off, I highly recommend making a reservation. We made one weeks in advance and had no wait when we arrived.

The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The food and drinks are absolutely divine. We had the 40oz porterhouse, which was cooked to perfection. For sides, I HIGHLY recommend the deep fried brussles and mashed potatoes. Our server recommended them, and I am glad I took his advice.

Our server was Steven. He was absolutely amazing. We were there celebrating our anniversary and he actually took the time to ask us what we feel makes a marriage last. He was so very kind, professional, caring, and informative about the menu. We wanted for nothing in his care.

Overall, this place was an incredible experience.

If you are looking for the absolute best dining experience in Tucson, PY Steakhouse is a must-visit. It isn’t just a steakhouse; it’s a masterclass in how to combine high-end cuts with the rich culinary heritage of Sonoran and Pascua Yaqui cuisine.

The Service
From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable. Our servers were incredibly attentive, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. They managed to be perfectly present without being intrusive, ensuring our water was filled and every course arrived exactly on time.

The Meal
We started with their sourdough bread, which was warm, crusty, and delicious. For appetizers, we chose the:
Prime Tip Steak and Truffles: Rich and decadent.
Lobster Bisque: Smooth, velvety, and absolutely “to die for.”

For the main event, our table shared a Ribeye and the Filet Mignon, and a Dry Aged Ribeye. The Dry Aged Ribeye was the undisputed highlight of the night. It was incredibly juicy, tender, and packed with a deep, complex flavor that left us wanting more.

We paired our steaks with mushrooms and a saffron risotto, both of which were seasoned to perfection and complemented the meats beautifully.

The Sweet Finish
We couldn’t leave without dessert, and PY Steakhouse delivered:
Chocolate Soufflé: Truly exquisite with a perfect rise.
Crème Brûlée: Classic, crisp, and a wonderful end to the meal.

Bottom Line: Between the world-class steaks and the unique local cultural touches, this is easily one of the best meals I’ve had. Whether it’s a special occasion or you just want an elite dinner, do not miss this spot!

Came to Py steakhouse and sat outside the restaurant at one of the tables, our server amanda (waitress/bartender with red hair) was very attentive… at first.. in the beginning she got our drinks appetizer and food order put it. however after we received our main food she never once came back to check on us, our drinks were empty, we were missing an ala carte side, and we kept staring her down and she never came. we eventually got up and asked for our check. She literally brought us our check and that was it, i felt she didn’t apologize for the lack of service. our meal was almost $300 and we felt we weren’t treated with respect at all. however the food itself was good, we just unfortunately didn’t receive the best of service which really sucked for spending as much as we did on our meal. very unpleased with service):

Wonderful experience. Originally we were going to dine at Fiesta Buffet. Once they quoted over $80 for two people with a military discount we opted to go elsewhere (it was seafood buffet). We decided on steak so went to PY Steakhouse. Though we had no reservations, after answering several questions; name, phone number, possible allergies, we wondered if we should brace ourselves for bloodwork or a credit check. We were then shown to our table. From then on it was pampering and sometimes a little show. We had no less than five people bring our main course out. Before that, someone brought a sprig of rosemary, lit it on fire then doused in butter (delicious). A waiter brought a fancy box of steak knives. I choose one with a pearl handle. Although our 43rd anniversary was last week, our waiter allowed/comped us a dessert of our choosing. We went with triple sorbet (two apple-cider and one pomegranate) with chocolate on the plate wishing us a Happy Anniversary. The steaks were extremely tender and flavorful. Despite trying to be cheapskates with the buffet, PY Steakhouse was so attentive and delicious it was well worth the cost. We’ve decided to celebrate our future anniversaries at PY. Thank you so very much!

Had my 70th birthday dinner here and by far it was one of the best restaurant experiences. The hostess was very friendly and wished me a happy birthday. The servers were very attentive throughout the entire meal. The drinks and food were fantastic. They really went out of their way to make me feel special.

My wife and I had her birthday dinner at this restaurant. It did not disappoint they gave us more than excellent customer service and were attentive for our tables needs. We need more service staff like the staff that were working tonight. I don’t think I have ever had better service even at any other high class restaurant.

Absolutely amazing experience. From the palate cleanser (whipped goat cheese with a chutney), to the clarified butter with rosemary leaves and the salt from the Sea of Cortez, this is a top choice for steakhouses. We were floored, honestly, to find such a great place in a casino resort in Tucson. The filet was cooked perfectly and adding the clarified butter and salt on top just took it up to another level. The diver scallops were melt in your mouth and the sticky butter toffee dessert had a hint of gingerbread mixed with the light toffee crunch. We have never had such a great meal and we travel all over the country. We also had the pleasure of meeting with chef Eliana Hernandez. We highly recommend visiting PY Steakhouse. (As a bonus, the hotel grounds of Casino Del Sol are very nice including the Sky hotel rooms). PS- the casino is nonsmoking with designated smoking areas – thank you!
