Hi Im A Flying Person
My boyfriend and I think about this place often. This was the last restaurant we visited on our 3 day trip to Providence a few months ago, we hadn’t liked any of the restaurants we went to and I was expecting to be disappointed again. I was wrong. This place is literally amazing. Omg. The interior is so nice and cozy, we liked the art on the walls. For the appetizer we ordered dumplings, it wasn’t bad but we weren’t the biggest fans. For entrees, I ordered the mala rose ragu and my boyfriend ordered the PVD chicken ramen. I didn’t really like my entree, but my boyfriend and I LOVED the ramen. It was amazing. The portion is generous and the chicken and broth were so flavorful. I ended up ordering another one for myself. Our server was so kind and welcoming from the start. We felt so bad that I wasted my food and we were willing to pay for it but our server comped it from our bill. It was so nice of her to do that. I wish I knew her name so I can give her the proper recognition, her service was amazing. Overall, we had such a good time at this place and can’t wait to come back here. We miss it so much.

I had a great experience eating here. There was no wait, and the other people I was with and I were seated immediately. The waitress was knowledgeable about what was on the menu and knew what to recommend that would pair well together. I was beyond satisfied with the service, and food. I ordered the Karaage Chicken as a starter and the PVD Chicken Ramen as my entree. It’s definitely worth the price. I’ll definitely be returning.

Food and beverages were great! Tried a lot of different items from the menu and everything we tried was really good!

Enjoyed sharing a tea pot with the table. It was so tasty.

The noodles were all so good!!

I wanted to try the sumo katsudon first, and then I noticed they have a different menu for winter. Then I ordered the pork katsu — it was huge and absolutely delicious! They also provide a translated menu in different languages, which is really thoughtful. All the staff were super friendly and nice. I loved it! Definitely come back to try the sumo katsudon.

The food here used to be good. I’ve noticed it’s really gone downhill. I’ve dined in and ordered for take out and I’ve just noticed more and more the lack of consistency on my experience. Attached is a photo of the Caesar salad I ordered for take out which I used to love but I can no longer recommend.

Cozy spot in downtown prov! Easily one of my new favorite restaurants. Large portions, reasonably priced and food comes out pretty quick. 10/10 would go again. Try this if you love noodles like me

We visited Rhode Island for a long weekend and were so lucky to find this gem of a restaurant near our hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly—especially Ella, who was so kind and professional! The food was absolutely amazing. The steamed egg was the best we’ve ever had, and every dish came with very generous portions, especially considering the location. We’re from New Jersey but already want to come back to RI just for this restaurant! Too bad I took only two pics. For two days, I think I ordered almost every food on the menu. All food are sooooo good! Def. will come back!

Portion sizes here really deserve a shoutout — every dish felt generous. The pork katsu don was crispy on the outside and tender inside, with two full cutlets. Super tasty, though it would be even better if the meat were a bit more tender and juicy. It was my first time trying a cold version of chawanmushi — slightly salty, but the uni and roe were super fresh, and at $9, it felt like a great deal. The cold soba-udon combo was unique, and the chicken ramen came with grilled skewers instead of the usual sliced meat, which was a fun twist. In terms of value, this place is a solid 5/5, and flavor-wise, it definitely beats most ramen spots in Boston.”
