How beautiful my baby’s 1st birthday cake turned out! We chose the delicious lilikoi frosting/cake. Franceska made the full moon on my cake glow . Because the cake had to have real sugar for the textures, Franceska also made a coconut sugar vanilla cupcake so that my baby can have as the bigger cake was for photos and for us adults. She did a beautiful job!

I’m always rooting for Pu’uwai Aloha because they make the most delicious GF baked goods, they are local and woman-owned. I have always tried to give them business over the years…when they were at the Kakaako Farmers Market, and at their former location on Lusitania St.

I hope the new location on Smith St. Works out. Finally a location where the parking is decent and there is more accessibility over a few days of the week.

Franceska was super helpful the other day as I needed to get a last-minute “Frozen” cake for my daughter’s birthday! She came through in the clutch and made us a beautiful blue cake which was delicious (I then added an Elsa figurine of my own).

It tasted way better than cakes that have dairy in them (regular grocery store cakes taste pretty artificial and too sweet, in my opinion). There was so much attention to detail in the cake from the ingredients to the exterior. I would definitely get another cake from here in the future!

So happy this dedicated gluten free bakery exists! Franceska and her team are so welcoming and explain everything well. They seem to have a standard set of fan favorites like the cinnamon roll and coffee cake, and then fun daily specials to switch things up. My husband has celiac so we love going here to get a sweet treat and coffee on the weekend. We paid a few bucks to park in the lot right across the street for ease, but there is some free street parking as well.

As a gluten-free bride, I wanted a wedding cake that I could enjoybut also one that my guests would love, and of course, it had to be cutie! Pu’uwai Aloha Bakery absolutely delivered. The cake was exactly what I had hoped for, and everyone kept telling me how delicious it was! I personally loved it and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Their team was so kind, and I’m genuinely so grateful to them. In the chaos of wedding planning, I accidentally ordered the cake for the wrong day but they were incredibly quick, accommodating, and so nice about the mix-up. They made sure I had my cake on the correct day, and it all worked out perfectly. Thank you all so much!

Cinnamon roll is phenomenal! Tried a ton of things because finding gluten free was exciting. Runner up is the coffee cake, great sponge and taste not tooo sweet. The baguette, bagels and pizza rolls taste the same for bread just different toppings (which are good).

Thank you for being so accommodating. But unfortunately my friends don’t like the texture of KETO cake even it’s not that sweet already.
I also tried other pastries such as bagels, cinnamon rolls and scones, same issue with the texture and the level of sweet was just too scary for us. But it’s a very good place for sweet tooth. Very good service!

I was really sad they were temporarily closed since I needed a gluten free cake during my stay. But Franceska, was so nice. I was able to order a dozen gluten free cupcakes-strawberry guava with lilikoi frosting. It was so delicious and beautiful. I paid $60 for the cupcakes (small), I thought they were going to be the mini sizes but they are regular cupcake sizes to me. Best decision and I’d order again. It’s hard to find a good gluten free cake with similar texture to gluten cakes, but you can’t tell these cupcakes were gluten free. Highly recommend for your gluten free options if they have capacity and are reopen!

This gluten free bakery was what dreams are made of. If you’re looking for sage gluten free (and some vegan) options too, I recommend getting out of Waikiki and stocking up here on your visit to Hawaii when you can. I brought my gluten free family here, and we ended up purchasing a few days worth of snacks and bites here. Their famous Turkey sandwhich was freshly baked amongst other amazing treats we haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy for years like cinnamon scrolls. Highly, highly recommend. This might just be Hawaii’s best kept gluten free secret. And a bonus, the team informed us of the best gluten free spots in Waikiki, which made our restaurant bookings so much easier.

If this was open every day, you bet I’d be stopping by every single day of my vacation.

Everything we tried was amazing.

My personal favorite was the pesto cheese roll. I wish we had gotten another one or two to go!

Another highlight was the cinnamon roll. It had so much cinnamon filling packed in – just how I like it!

They had samples and I really enjoyed the lilikoi cake. I’m regretting not buying a slice to go.

It’s delicious. Go try it. This is the perfect place for people who can’t normally eat delicious baked goods because they’re gluten free!

PS my gluten eating husband also loved everything!!!
