The barbecue was good. The stew was my favorite it was really great. Good potato salad and slaw. The price is awesome $8 for large plate. Fast and great service. Nice family owned restaurant. If you are in the area on Friday or Saturday a must try!

The world’s best bbq. Always fresh, juicy and tender. Never any hard bits or cartilage. Amazing vinegary sauce and the Brunswick stew make you into a true believer. Absolutely the BEST BBQ and Brunswick stew I’ve had anywhere! I live in NC where BBQ is supposed to be one of the best on the planet, and I’ve tried many of them (and in SC, too) and PURVIS BBQ beats them all! Great people. Great food. And if anything is “warmed over” as another poster says, it’s still GREAT! As a matter of fact, I’ve often asked for frozen so I can take it home and eat it when I go back.
