The lobster roll was good; lobster meat tasted fresh! It is smaller than the typical size for a lobster roll but the price reflects this. Note that the lobster meat is cold and there is an additional 10% service fee added even though the only “service” provided is that they bring the food to you when it is done. You still have to get in line to order and there are no seats inside so you’d be eating outdoors, in your car, or take it to-go.

Nice local grocery and sandwich shop. The sandwiches are decent, the sauces are homemade and pretty good. I would definitely get toasted next time.

This is place is amazing. I came by to grab a sandwich to take on a long hike. Got the Turkey and veggies with honey mustard. The Turkey was super tender and juicy, the veggies were really fresh. It was super unexpected but perhaps one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Also the woman working the window/cashier was sweet, she may have been the owner. Check it out for sure

Ordered a lobster roll, it came very quickly and was good! It did seem to have less lobster in person than the photos in other reviews. We didn’t get a chance to return to try their other sandwiches, wish we had!

I was driving through the area and needed a quick bite. I love lobster rolls and this did not disappoint! Took only a few minutes to get it after placing my order. It was more on the expensive side, but had lots of lobster. Highly recommend!

Delicious and fresh food, conveniently located for a quick bite after visiting Flume Gorge. The whole grain bread was lovely and soft, light too. We also enjoyed a chicken burrito that was on special, served hot and really enjoyable. Had a tiny bit of sticker shock initially at the price of the sandwich ($10.89), but that disappeared when I saw the thick cut of high quality ham. Staff were friendly! All in all, very happy to have found here.

Trying to avoid Sunday brunch traffic & waiting for a table, we grabbed a couple of sandwiches at the Purple Tomato. Lobster roll, lobster was juicy, fresh & plentiful on nicely toasted soft roll. Avocado/ veggie on yummy wheat bread, had fresh probably local lettuces & tomatoes. I added cheddar & the pickled carrots rounded it out nicely. They had SASPARILLA(!) to drink & lots of local products. A lucky & great detour for us. I never write reviews.

Someone on a hike recommended this place to me last year, and I SO wish I had tried them out sooner. Yummy sandwiches, super quality ingredients and friendly service! This is the only place I want to get sandwiches from for my hikes, they’re fantastic in every way!
