We were excited to visit the new location on Anastasia Blvd. The building looks fresh, the interior warm. The food was great. We enjoyed appetizers and entrees, I had the filet mignon with peppercorn sauce, my wife enjoyed the crab cakes. Our guest had the short rib. The creme brulee was delicious. The Gypsy Cab was a great restaurant, the vision of one our city’s great chef/owners who retired years ago and with a new owner in the kitchen they will have a successful future. The service was also excellent.

Had a great dinner at Purple Olive. We had the tofu, pork special, stuffed chicken, and the chocolate bomb for dessert. Everything had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. Service was good and attentive. Be aware of parking, as we were leaving a waiter from the restaurant next door was telling other patrons that they have separate parking lots.

First time coming to Purple Olive . We randomly stopped on Valentine’s Day and we had a great experience, our server was really nice and attentive and we enjoy all of the 4 small plates we ordered. I never went to the old location but I have to say the new one is amazing and it’s beautiful inside .

It was our Wedding Anniversary and hoped we would get at least great service. I used google reservations.
Waited 18 minutes for drinks . Really People?
Refused an extra slice of bread unless I paid for it but got butter when I asked for it. Really People?
Served a teaspoon to eat Clam Chowder. Really people? If you can’t afford Soup Spoons don’t serve soup.
The food was excellent, the server was nervous and probably her first day.
Will I come back? Most likely not…. but good luck.

We went Friday February 13th. It was our first time going to the new location. We had a reservation but arrived early to have a drink at the bar. It was the perfect way to start our enjoyable evening. Mark was our waiter he was great!! He explained the items on the menu perfectly. I had the veal my husband had yellow tail snapper. Both were amazing. We started with clam chowder which we shared. It was perfect! We also had a house salad just the right size. We were not rushed the entire meal. My only improvement could be the noise volume. It was hard to hear each other when you’re next to a loud party of four. The food and service made up for it. It now has moved up to a new favorite. Thank you for starting off our Valentine’s weekend.

Party of 8 for dinner last night. Everything, and I mean everything, was delicious. Picasso made sure everything was just right before seating us. Our server, Emmet, was friendly and attentive. We had the bread service, the Brie and the roasted olives as apps and every plate was wiped clean. Pictured is my dinner, Gorgonzola crusted bone in pork chop with mashed potatoes and grilled zucchini. It was so good. Others in our party had the chicken Parm, braised short ribs, ginger soy tofu, paella, salmon and the scallops. They were all winners!
Reservations suggested and totally worth it!

We catered with Purple Olive for our wedding and they did a phenomenal job! We visited the restaurant twice, once before booking and another time to taste-test our wedding menu selection. Every time, we had amazing food and service. Peter is extremely helpful and very flexible in finding a menu that we loved at a price point we were comfortable with. Every other vendor we reached out to (over a dozen) charges hefty service fees and added on unexpected charges. I thought it was the norm after seeing all of those quotes, and asked Peter what additional fees would be added on. He stated that he is against that and it’s not how he conducts his business. We immediately booked and appreciate the way Peter conducts business transparently and honestly. Kristen was very responsive via email and able to answer all of our questions throughout the planning process. We had impeccable service at our wedding and the staff went above and beyond. The food was amazing and we had many guests come up to us at the wedding just to talk about how great the food was! Thank you Peter and the Purple Olive team for being so amazing!!

First time eating here since moving to the new location. Our meals were phenomenal, the portions were beyond generous, and pricing was very fair. A really refreshing change from other places with inflated prices and small servings. To top it off our server, Jennifer, really made it fun and was helpful with suggestions to go along with her great service. We’ll ask for her next time we go.
The only downside is that it’s pretty loud and the tables are awfully close together.

We tried purple olive for the first time since moving to Saint Augustine. We were not disappointed. We originally had a reservation for 7:45 but decided to sit in the bar. The ambiance was intimate and our waiter Doug was very attentive. We started with the trio app and it was delicious. We ordered the stuffed chicken breast and the filet. Both were excellent. We will definitely be back.
