This is one of the best food trucks in the Des Moines area. It’s very rare to find a place in Iowa that sells cemitas (traditional tortas from Puebla, Mexico made out of sesame seed bread). The cemitas are packed with food. I recommend the milanesa one!! Their tacos are made of homemade tortillas. You only need one because they are ENORMOUS. Very few Mexican places have good horchata or aguas frescas because they are usually watered down with all the ice. I recommend the agua de melón and agua de horchata. This is all good quality food. They have other traditional dishes from Puebla. Everything is fresh, delicious, and with generous portions.
The customer service is phenomenal.
They treat you very well! They are approachable, friendly, and patient. It was my first time there and I had a lot of questions. They kindly answered them. They also have a great system. They have speakers and call out your name when your food is ready that way you don’t have to stand outside waiting, you can just wait in your car. We showed up at 10:45pm and they still had tons of people ordering food. When you see a lot of people ordering, it’s a good sign.
I also love supporting this business because they started from the bottom. They used to only cater and sometimes sell at the bailes. They worked so hard to make this food truck a reality. They also support local non profits. They always give back to the community. Support local!

Puro Puebla is definitely one of the best food trucks in the Des Moines area. The portions are huge, the food is great, and it leaves you craving for more. The owners and staff are very nice people, too. Definitely recommend to those looking for delicious authentic Mexican food.e

Esta si es comida!!! desde que llegas, se llega el olor a rico…no duele pagar lo que cuesta. Ya sea un taco, una torta, una cemita o quesadilla, cualquiera que compres, viene con una abundante cantidad de carne, quesito, o de lo que la pidas..Las Bebidas muy autenticas,ricas y distintas a la horchata comun, Los Vendedores muy amables, todo limpio como debe ser, tienen varios meses con su negocio, con solo probar mi quesadilla de champińones creo que van derechito al exito!
