Purity Ice Cream Co. nailed the experience. We stopped by after dinner, just an hour before closing, and the energy was still high—lively, welcoming, and very much the night is still young kind of vibe. I picked a gorgeous-looking ice cream that tasted just as good as it looked. Sitting there with my husband, enjoying ice cream in -2°C weather, felt oddly perfect. Cold outside, cozy inside, and a simple little ice-cream date done right. Definitely a place that turns a quick stop into a memorable moment.

We went there for dinner with family we were visiting. We keep to a Vegan diet and our daughter Vegetarian, while her husband is omniviore. All of were able to get dinner and ice cream treats afterwards. Our Vegan diet is about personal health so we are more flexible than some others might be about the fact that the Vegan burgers and veggies are cooked on the same grill as meat. For the same reasons we did not check to see if the ice cream cones were Vegan. Anyone who is concerned about such details should check and might end up eating elsewhere depending on what they find out. Alternatively, if one orders ice cream in a cup that should be acceptable for most people who keep to a Vegan diet.

White Bean Lentil Burger: Whole Wheat Roll, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Chipotle aiolin, *Fried Onions, Jalapeno, No Extras
Add Side Field Green Salad, honey mustard, No Drink

The vegan burgers are an alternative for those who don’t want commercial Vegan burgers. We liked the black bean burger better in terms of texture but both were mushy, and didn’t have much flavor. We probably would not get either again. The sweet potato fries were good, not great. The side salads were surprisingly generous.
Everyone liked the ice cream. The Vegan ice cream all were very good.
It is possible to get Vegan shakes and vegan sundaes,which we did not try tonight.

Amazing! We discovered this on a Saturday night and it’s now Monday night and we are back for our second time! Double scoop! Samantha, K.C., Olivia were wonderful. So is the assistant manager who was working on Saturday night. Sharp with the recommendations and he was spot on. Love this place and we’re bragging about it all over Ithaca.

The ice cream tastes incredible and it being open both so late and available during the winter is truly the best. I was helped by both Samantha and Zachary and they were very personable and efficient when taking my order and making it. All in all an experience that couldn’t be topped.
