Surprisingly delicious dinner at Purgy’s last evening. New chef Chad and hostess GG made sure our experience was great. We tried every special from appetizer through dessert and they were all fantastic. (Picture is the fabulous duck confit entree special). Purgy’s is a sleeper—exceptional culinary talent under the hood here. Recommend giving it a try!

Our dinner at Purgys was fabulous! I was a little hesitant due to the lower overall reviews but it far exceeded my expectations! We went for dinner and were informed they have a new chef. Our meals were absolutely fabulous. I had the Salmon Special and my husband had the burger special. We also got the Duck Confit tacos as an app that was also a special. Everything was absolutely fabulous. Our server, Gigi, was awesome as well! I’m told this is a totally different restaurant during the day time (typically ski food and drinks during lunch hours), but go for dinner you will not regret it!

I will say we are dinner here 2x during our 4 night stay at Purgatory resort and the food, drinks and service were AMAZING!!!!! GG, our server both nights, was so bubbly and positive and so great with our kiddos….we literally rebooked for another night because the 1st night left us all so happy!! We had drinks, appetizers and dessert both nights. We loved all of it. Steaks were great, the special was amazing (I ordered it both nights) so I’m not sure of the bad reviews perhaps at lunch when they are incredibly busy but ski food is ski food folks!!! Dinner was a TOTALLY DIFFERENT LEVEL THAN YOUR USUAL SKI SPOT AND DELICIOUS!!! give them a try, you won’t regret it.

For 7 trips to Purgatory so far, this place has gone downhill in service every year. If there was a 1/2 star rating that would be best. To show up and find out there is only one person working, we could be seated immediately, but it would be 2 hours to get our meal is completely unacceptable of any establishment. I could understand a wait to be seated but not that long for a kitchen to cook meals. With no other options on the mountain on Tuesday’s or Wednesday’s you’d think management would have their ONLY food option on the mountain better staffed on these nights. It’s sad to see this restaurant on the slope get to this level but you’re better off closing as well on Tuesday & Wednesday so folks staying at the resort could plan better in snowy conditions that do not make it easy to drive back into town.

This place was great! We had a beet salad and Salmon. Gigi was our server and she was excellent. I took my first bite and looking over at my husband said “there’s a ‘chef’ here!” Come to find out in case you locals don’t know there’s a new chef at Purgy’s so putting the word out to check it out! Our monday evening was a nice dinner out at Purgy’s our last night before heading home and it was exceptionally good! ❤️

We all had different items from the menu for dinner on a weekday night and really enjoyed all the food. We normally travel for food but didn’t expect much from the only place open for dinner ON the mountain. The French onion soup was great! The gruyere cheese was perfect the temperature could have been hotter. The elk sliders were fantastic. The cheeseburger was surprisingly the most expensive thing we ordered but it and the fries were great. My wife had a salmon Caesar salad and the salmon was better than great. The salmon filet was really the highlight of the night.
Service was fantastic, both servers checked on us plenty.

Purgys is the on site restaurant at the purgatory resort. We were there in the summer and had bought the activity pass. We stopped halfway through the day for lunch. The main building was closed but it wasn’t super clear so people kept trying to go inside. People were also unsure how to order.
We eventually 3.the order at the bar. The bartender was super nice and made some good food recommendations as well as a beer recommendation. We got two regular burgers, a barbecue burger, and chicken strips. The food was well made, especially the burgers. We were pretty surprised, especially considering this is a ski resort restaurant.
They were very tasty, and well-dressed. The meat was a little overdone but that’s fine. The meal was quite pricey, over $100 for the four meals, two Cokes, and the beer. So, that was the only downside.
Overall it was a solid lunch so if you’re at Purgatory, don’t hesitate to grab some food at Purgys.

GG treated us beyond normal standards. Food was phenomenal and service was incredibly professional. 10/10 recommend for dinner dates or groups all are welcome!
