Let’s call it what it is, a bar that serves mid BBQ. Food tastes better once you’re drunk, I guess.
Meat was ok, but dry. Good BBQ doesn’t need sauce, this needs sauce. Sauce wasn’t anything special.

The food here is delicious. All of the smoked meats are worth a try. Go for the armadillo balls and hush puppy appetizers first. Lots of screens to watch the game. Just wish it was a little bigger and had more arcade games but the pull tab games are pretty fun.

This was my first time trying Purdy’s BBQ in Buckley and I was pleasantly surprised! The brisket was tender, the pulled pork smokey and delicious, but the surprise was the meatloaf. This meatloaf is one of the best I’ve ever had! For the sides I got hush puppies, potato salad, and the brisket chili and they were all fabulous as well. I had to try the smoked sausage sandwich and it was also very excellent! Will be back for sure!!

We stopped by the soft opening today. They are open for limited hours this weekend and then full-time next week if everything goes well. Great service and food was amazing!! We got the meat board. Why has nobody else done that before?!? We’ll be back for sure!

We’ve ordered take out and dined it, been pretty good both times. I really liked the brisket, potato salad, waffle fries and coleslaw. The servings are pretty big. I appreciate them separating the cold and hot food for the take out orders.

We really enjoyed our late lunch with a couple of nice IPA pints. Pulled pork & beef brisket were tender and offered with an excellent selection of sauces. Hush puppies, coleslaw and chili were wonderful sides.

$50 for barley any food. Definitely, doesn’t feed 4 small people. Had to put that since the guy told my husband it wouldn’t feed 4 big people but it would 4 small people. Sorry, but no. The Mac and cheese tasted premade. The meat didn’t have a smoke flavor just tasted like precooked meat heated up in a microwave with a bottle of cracked pepper poured into it. The sauce was good though. We won’t be back. We do love the Sumner location though.

We need this place. Bbq places seem to be in sorry supply across Washington. Food is good i had the brisket sandwich. It was cold which is the reason of the 4 stars but it tasted great I just can’t stand cold food it needs to be piping hot for me to fully enjoy. I can’t blame them too much since this is their first weekend open. Draft beers however are ice cold. Staff are excellent and attentive and facility is clean and relatively new it’s the same as lost woods with new decor.
