A hidden gem – Mexican Halal food served with love. Generous portion sizes and good service. Tried the following items and loved them all:
– Chicken burrito – very flavorful
– Carnes Asada – fries with beef, veggies and sauces – really hit the spot!
– a variety of tacos with chicken and veggies in a crunchy shell – quite delicious!
– Horchata- cool rice milk beverage
They gave complimentary nachos on the side. Also shoutout to their sauces – we got four different types and for each hot sauce, there was a mild version.
Very interesting artwork in the restaurant itself.

I ordered through UBER EATS: food was not hot when it arrived but still tasted great… Deff would order from here again n even go in to eat. Im picky when it comes to mexican food…i got the wet burrito asada in red n green, i was a fan of both sauces so it was deff hard to eat of one side n stop eating when i was full fam ordered asada fries, tacos dorados, enchiladas michiocanas in cheese n chicken(fully topped) and a side order of the deep fried chiles with seasoning

There food is so so so good. It is absolutely delicious.
I love this carne asada, and their soup.
But once the employees suggested getting their fish, my wife and I cannot stop ordering their fish. Is it literally the best fish tacos we have very had in our entire lives. No question.
Horchata is amazing. Beans and rice are fantastic.

This is my new favorite casual Mexican restaurant. Coming from a native southern Californian, that says a lot. We got there a couple hours before closing on Father’s Day. The girl who took our order was very friendly and helpful. She brought us complimentary chips and a Tex-Mex appetizer while we waited for the main plates.
My wife and I shared a plate of the Carne Asada Fries — which is very addicting — to start. We could/should have really stopped there, but we had also already ordered the Beef Chimichanga. We could only finish half of that between the two of us, but I’m looking forward to having the other half for lunch tomorrow. Don’t forget to order a cup of their homemade ginger ale (which they said is pretty popular and sells out when they are busy)!

I heard alot of good things about this Mexican restaurant so today was the day that I decided to see what the hype was about. I’ve been craving some goooood Mexican food and yes they did delivered!! I ordered the shrimp nachos and the portion size was more than enough. I was able to eat off of it twice and share. I also ordered a few deep fried jalapenos on the side

I was very undecided on what to order because there was so many eye catching items to choose from but the cashier was a big help. He was very patient and went through the entire menu with me, letting me know about the popular items as well. The portion sizes of their menu items are amazing, not skimpy at all. I was curious about the fish tacos and he showed me the size of the fish that goes in a taco and I was blown away you guys!!! Seriously. If you want a real fish taco this is where you come, no baby fish over here lol. Pura Vida definitely value their customers hungry tummies LOL.
Now, let’s get into the taste.. These nachos were very much packed with flavor, good shrimp size portions, fully loaded with veggies and your typical nacho topping. The chips used for the nachos got a little soggy but it was expected due to how loaded they were. I definitely recommend checking out this place, if you want authentic filling mexican food Pura Vida got you covered. My overall experience was great and I will DEFINITELY be back

Their ginger ale was refreshing but their Carne Asada taco plate was pretty disgusting. The meat wasn’t seasoned well at all. It was extremely flavorless and burnt. I won’t go back. Far too expensive for crappy food.

Location is a hole in the wall place, kinda ghetto . Not a lot of parking either. Food though is halal and great! Customer service is also very good, the girl at the front is very helpful. Vegetarian friendly options too. I tried the California burrito, made it wet with half green and half red sauce. So tasty.
