Best pupusas (and salsa) I’ve had in Sacramento! Great service, relaxed ambiance, wide selection of items on the menu, and speedy delivery of food. What more can you ask for? It’s worth the drive down Florin Rd. I highly recommend!

I’m actually not a big fan of Pupusas but these were really really good. Very delicious.
My wife & I usually go to a place on Stockton Blvd which is quite good. Mostly El Savadorian food.
But this was our first time coming here and we are both extremely happy that we did. My wife is from Honduras and she really liked the place as well.
They were so accommodating. Our 5 year old is a little picky. They made her plain scrambled eggs & bacon & a hot dog.
2 brothers & their sister are the owners.

Me and my sister went here after I’ve been wanting to try this pupuseria for over a year, and my sister was excited since she’s never had pupusas. We arrived before noon and were told our to-go order would take a while so I assumed probably 20-30 minutes max, since we ordered no entrees and just 5 pupusas with some sides. The entire wait lasted till almost 1:30 p.m, essentially an hour and a half of waiting. We were patient, I asked once or twice checking in on the food and after multiple tables and to-go orders finished and left before us we were running out of patience by the hour mark (especially since we didn’t have a large order). My biggest surprise was that they had completely lost our order and didn’t start the food the entire hour+ we were waiting. They gave us chips and a free drink after we had to reorder, but didn’t make up for the absurd wait time overall. We both enjoyed the food and I didn’t have much critique, but we both couldn’t enjoy it due to the ridiculous wait and lack of communication/consideration from the staff. I would like to return but honestly a horrible first experience after being excited to try this place for so long.

The Caldo de Res was so good here. I mean really worth getting. There are only 3 places that make decent pupusas in the Sacramento area and now I’ve found #4. Their pupusas are BOMB! The Agua Pepino was so refreshing. I was very pleasantly surprised how good everything was. And the service was so friendly and hospitable.

I recently visited Pupuseria La Familiar in Sacramento, CA and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed! The food was absolutely delicious, and the standout dish for me was definitely the veggie burrito with mole sauce.
The mole sauce was simply incredible – rich, complex, and bursting with flavor. It perfectly complemented the fresh veggies and hearty beans in the burrito, creating a mouthwatering combination that I couldn’t get enough of. It’s clear that the chefs at Pupuseria La Familiar really know what they’re doing when it comes to creating amazing flavor combinations.
But it wasn’t just the food that made my visit so enjoyable – the atmosphere was also warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in the door.
Overall, I would highly recommend Pupuseria La Familiar to anyone in the Sacramento area who’s looking for delicious, authentic Mexican food. Whether you’re in the mood for pupusas, tacos, or burritos, you won’t be disappointed – and don’t forget to try that amazing mole sauce!
