Food is not worth the trip. I ordered a pupusas and it was not tasty compared to other pupusas places. My relative ordered a fajitas special, and it was not worth the 20 bucks. The meat didn’t have any flavor and the shrimp tasted like cooked frozen shrimp. No seasoning. The service is good, very attentive, but the food was not good at all. Definitely won’t be returning. I would recommend San Alejo that has way better flavoring and sazón!

The pupusas were ok. I had all vegetarian ones. The taste was bland. I also got a couple of different deserts. I wasn’t impressed. But I enjoyed watching them making pupusas.

Overall, I was pleased with this place. Pupusas were very good. We tried almost one of each. The cheese is so flavorful. Sorry, forgot to take picture of the pupusas. Pan con pollo- was ok. The first one we got had the chicken cold, but then they brought a warm one. I personally don’t like to have the chicken in one piece. I prefer it shredded. That’s just a matter of preference I guess.

Extremely disappointed w this place. First of all, my order came half missing. Second, taste pretty plain. Third, look at the picture yourself. Bought some tamales, and it is basically made of corn and bones.. no meat at all. Ridiculous.

Sunday morning the server Alicia got my order wrong 2 times. She just brought was she wanted. Food was so simple, not what I expected. Eggs came put uncooked and rice had something weird. The pupusa were very salty, my son vomited in the car.

Best in the DMV. The pupusas are fresh, the chicharrones are so tender that you don’t need to cut with the knife, and the plátanos are fresh with just the right crispy around the edge. The pictures cannot do El Comalito justice. The prices are fair which make it worth the trip.

The restaurant was very busy on a Friday night around 8:00 p.m. The waiter was patient while we asked questions about various foods native to El Salvador. We ordered pasteles de carne y muchos pupusas. We also had horchata and tamarindo drinks. The food was freshly made so there was a bit of a wait for the pupusas. My boyfriend who likes horchata said it had a uniquely nutty taste, which he enjoyed. The tamarindo was a good mix of sour and sweet. I would recommend this place because the pupusas are inexpensive and my salvadoreño coworker said there were authentic!

Food was tasty, authentic, and reasonably priced. The pupusas are definitely the best around. We waited a bit for a table then talked to someone about seating us. They seated us promptly after we inquired. I would recommend this to other people; get someone’s attention and ask to be seated. Any time we needed anything, we had to get the waitresses attention. The fruit water was very good, I would recommend that too.
