I ordered 5 pupusas from this location, 4 pupusas locas and 1 pupusa con queso. The pupusa con queso was ok, but the 4 pupusas locas were terrible, we could not eat even one. They appear to use some yellow cheese instead the traditional quesillo and the flavor, consistency, everything was bad. The slaw(curtido) was old and tasted bitter, the sauce could not save the dish. It was a terrible experience overall. We will not be returning to Doña Azunena in Manassas. We do not recommend this place. If looking for Central American food in Manassas, try Mi Tierra Deli in Manassas Park. Much better food

Dirty, bad service, seriously a hole in the wall. Just walking in , curtains, tables , chairs, ceiling with stains and child chairs absolutely disgusting, so if this is the presentation, I will not want to think how they handle the food. Service non existing and if you think your meal will come on time, think twice, our order… first they served my companion , mine never arrived until 25 min later I canceled it , sorry but not a good representation of Salvadorian family restaurant. Management most likely went in vacation or was fired and now no one runs the place.

A coworker recommended this place for the marañon, cashew fruit, drink and revueltas pupusa with pork, cheese, and beans. I got both and more as take out and they were pretty good. I’d never had marañon before, but I liked it. By the time I got home the pupusas were steamed, but I threw them in the toaster oven and they were great. They come with a healthy portion of slaw and salsa that is not spicy at all, but in plastic bags so it’s awkward. I also got the nuegados con chilate and fried plantains with refried beans and sour cream. Nuegados con chilate is deep fried cassava bites , like hush puppies, served with light cane syrup and corn flour porridge. That corn flour porridge threw me for a loop. I didn’t know what it was or how to eat it and there is some seasoning in it. I just dipped the balls into the syrup and wash it down with the porridge. The fried plantains were great. Refried beans are not Mexican. The crema was kind of funky. I want to go back to try the pasteles de carne, looks like a beef empanada, and tacos de carne, steak tacos. Overall it was a lot of good food and quite affordable!

The revuelta pupusas had a lot of beans. Only a tiny bit of meat. Service was great. The guy at the register was really nice and helpful.

The best pupusas in the area, always when I call for delivery the person who answer the phone is very nice, there always are very friendly, costumer service definitely is A+. Probably the harder part is trying to park, can be little bit hard sometimes.

They add their own tips, i went to pick my order up yesterday and was charged an extra $10 a day after to adjust for tip…. Problem is I didn’t tip so an employee purposely stole from me. Police report is made and will be visiting store soon with lawyer.

Wow!! This place is the Spot for for some good dang food. I had the fried tilapia with some pork and beans pupusa. One of the best I’ve ever had, and I travel all over our great country. Service was excellent and friendly. They were surprise to see someone eat the fish heads. It was like my moms used to cook.

Love this restaurant! Authentic flavors , kind servers, family friendly, great value and more has added Dona’s to our frequent destination list. Get the pupusas revueltas, they are always cooked to perfection .
