I’ve been a customer for many years and I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but this experience pushed me to do so… steak was not cooked properly and was extremely tough—almost like chewing gum. The rice was dry and tasted like it had been reheated, and the beans were watered down and off in flavor.

What makes this especially disappointing is that this hasn’t been a one-time issue. We’ve noticed a consistent decline in quality over the past few visits. I’m not sure if there has been a change in management or kitchen staff, but unfortunately this will be our last time ordering from this location. It’s disappointing because it used to be a great spot, but we won’t be returning anymore. If this is your first time, don’t get your hopes up.

Dona Azucena blew me away with their generous portions of carne asada with onions, maduros, fried yuca, and rice platter. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The staff were very friendly and provided fast service. Can’t wait to go back. Five stars and I would highly recommend!

We waited a good amount of time for our pupusas. Granted, they were warm and fresh but it took unusually long

This place is great!!! Food is amazing! I’m going to give them a 4/5 due to not being able to order via phone. Communication becomes tedious, granted we will be going back and forth until we both get it right.

I’m posting the updated menu and pricing as of 2/9/24

NEVER AGAIN / NUNCA MAS.
The service was horrible, waiter kept disappearing, the food and drinks were nasty. The fish was not clean and still had scales, the sea food soup had plastic wraps in it, the empanadas where burnt, the yuca with chicharon/pork were hard as a rock, the orchata and tamarindo drinks taste horrible. We complain to the manager on duty and she did not seem to care she just took off the sea food soup off the bill. Our waitress disappeared and another one had to attend out tables. Half of our food was served almost 30 mins between each other. So half of the kids ate and finish before the rest were able to start their meal.

I ordered 5 pupusas from this location, 4 pupusas locas and 1 pupusa con queso. The pupusa con queso was ok, but the 4 pupusas locas were terrible, we could not eat even one. They appear to use some yellow cheese instead the traditional quesillo and the flavor, consistency, everything was bad. The slaw(curtido) was old and tasted bitter, the sauce could not save the dish. It was a terrible experience overall. We will not be returning to Doña Azunena in Manassas. We do not recommend this place. If looking for Central American food in Manassas, try Mi Tierra Deli in Manassas Park. Much better food

The caldo de res at this restaurant is exceptional, surpassing even Mexico Lindo down the street. The dish features a unique blend of flavors with a special, flavorful cut of beef, oxtails, yuca, carrots, cabbage, string beans, tomatoes and ayote. The prices are very reasonable, the portions are generous, and the staff are both friendly and attentive especially an employee by the name Coriano. I highly recommend this place.

I can’t believe I kept driving past this place all this time and never tried it.
Finally went in and tried the Pupusa Revueltas: Chicharron, queso y frijoles and Yuca frita con chicharron.
The pupusa was nice and crispy and the filling was very flavorful.
The fried yuca and chicharron had great flavorful and fried to perfection. It was nice and crispy the way it should be.

Carmen and the staff were awesome. She was very nice and provided excellent service. The best pupusas I’ve had. I can’t wait to go back there again.
