Popuseria Cheros is a must-try in Schaumburg, IL! I’ve been craving this place and it did not disappoint. I had the pupusas (loroco & queso and jalapeño & queso) and they were absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The staff was super nice, the place was very clean, and the whole experience was great. I can’t wait to come back and try more items because I already know they’ll be amazing. 10/10 highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Food is so so so incredible, makes me miss Los Angeles more. The Salvadorian community there is high and so many spots there so to find one here let alone one that could match the same level of deliciousness and greatness man oh man. Everything was delicious, no corners felt cut, everything feels homemade in the sense as if you just went over to your friend’s house for some authentic food. The service is kind and friendly, super energetic but not in your face. The atmosphere is great and its wonderful to see the art and culture of home. If you never been or wondered about trying it out, absolutely come to Pupuseria Cheros, they do not disappoint and will give your tongue palette such a range of flavor.

I had an amazing experience here. Francisco was super enjoyable to talk to, and you could tell that this place was passionate about their food. You could hear the pupusa’s being made in the back while waiting for your order. The crisp acidic, cabbage cut through beautifully along with their sauces. For the price they were very large and they did not skimp on the filling.
Will definitely be revisiting.

The food is good and the price is fair. I had a tamal de pollo for $4 and it was big. Filled with chicken, carrots, potatoes, and long green beans. Almost like a caldo de pollo but a tamal and it was good. I had pupusa de bean and cheese, and a cheese and rajas pupusa. That one is very spicy since the seeds are included, but you get used to it. The other plate was desayuno salvadoreno. Everything was very good delicious. I added the menu as well.

Delicious and very fresh Salvadorian fair . Plenty of home made healthy plates and drinks. Super nice service. Food came out pretty fast. We had Carne Asada, and Carne Guisada. The meat was absolutely flavorful and super tender it melted in my mouth. Has to be one of the best, if not the best meats I have has. Highly recommended!

Wow – wonderful meal here. Highly recommend Pupuseria Cheros!
Came here for a midweek lunch. Got two pupusas (pork and cheese, chicken and cheese), rice and beans, chicken sandwich, and horchata.
Each item was excellent. Pupusas are made fresh and are not oily; chicken sandwich had a great dipping sauce and the total flavor profile is great; horchata is sooo good with the mild peanut flavor.
To boot the service is high quality, well kept restaurant, and prices are fair. I’d happily come back. Thank you for a great meal!

Great food made freshly! Got the yuca with pork that wasn’t greasy or oily. The beef stew was flavorful and was a reasonable portion. The pupusas were hot and had a good amount of filling
