This place gets 5 stars in addition to being added to my list of favorite restaurants in town.
The menu offers true and delicious traditional items. My wife and tried the meat soup (sopa de res), the loroco y queso pupusa, and the nuegados (cassava pancake). Everthying was delicious and not too salty. This tasted like real traditional Latin food.
Do not expect the fanciest ambience when you come here, but it’s organized, clean and very diverse with families and lots of children. The service was outstanding!
This restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with its own free parking lot.
Overall, 100% recommended.

The best French fries in Charlotte! Dip them in their green sauce for spicy deliciousness and add mayonnaise if too spicy. Everything here is delicious and feels homemade

I’ve been wanting to try Pupusa 503 for a while, and I finally got the chance – and it did not disappoint! I ordered the bean and chicken pupusas, and both were absolutely delicious. I also tried the short rib soup (I think it was called Sopa de Res), which was good, though the short rib was a bit tougher than I prefer. That said, I don’t think that’s their specialty. I’ve heard great things about their tamales and other dishes, so I’ll definitely be back to try more! Based on the pupusas alone and the warm, inviting atmosphere, this place gets five stars from me. Can’t wait to return!

Love the energy from the employees, definitely made me feel at home. The food was really good, I had 3 pupusas….very big and cheesy. I wish I had more slaw and sauce, but still really good. Will be back.

If you are looking for other than a burger, this is the place. A very authentic Latin American food, atmosphere and service. A very kind people. Food came to my table faster than McDonald’s or KFC. Price is mid range. Food portion was big enough. Taste was very good. Also, they had sodas in bottles. Different feeling though.
They had genuine smiles! I loved it. Maybe, I should try beef or chicken next time when come around here. This time I had this unique soup with beef ribs. Not many people were standing on the line when i came. But it was fast. They have enough parking.

I happened to stumble upon this place one day riding by going to another spot for lunch. So I made a mental note to make sure I looked them up to see what they serve so I could try them out. So so glad I did! It was delish! Cute quaint place with a few tables, and they were jammed packed with customers and after tasting my food I can see why. The man behind the counter was very patient and friendly when I told him was my first time there. He was great at explaining the menu, since it’s not in English, and answered any and all of my questions.
I got the mango drink and fried whole fish meal. It was amazing. Seasoned and fried to perfection. It came with a side salad (which was extremely fresh) and rice and beans. Definitely a filling meal, I couldn’t eat it all in one sitting. I most certainly will be back to try other dishes.

FINALLY!! been living in the Carolina’s 5 years and good Salvadoran food was hard to come by but this place has it ALL! Food was very good and the environment was very friendly and comforting. This will be the only place I get my Salvi food from now on!

This was a wonderful experience trying out Salvadoran food in Charlotte. We visited on a Saturday evening and it was decently busy. The seating area inside isn’t huge, so I could see that during busy hours, there might be a wait involved.
We got the pupusas—Pollo(Chicken), Jalapeño and Vegetable, and all of them were delicious. The server was kind enough to also provide us with their “home-made spicy sauce”, which was a great accompaniment to the pupusas. The cabbage dish and the spicy sauce that was served complimentary was a great addition too.
The dishes are reasonably priced and the staff tries their best. The restroom is in the back, and there’s parking outside. Overall, it’s a wonderful Salvadoran restaurant that I’ll be back at soon to try their other dishes.

I’ve really liked this place—good food and Christian music. However, I’ve had a consistently uncomfortable experience with the female at the cashier area she either needs to be moved to the back or replaced. She was holding back laughter or tears the whole time, which made the experience really uncomfortable. Then my Sopa de Res looked like a random mix of whatever soups were left, and there was some strange piece of meat in my plantains. The quality seems to be slipping, and I hope this feedback encourages some attention to both staff demeanor and food consistency bcuz y’all are expensive but good which I appreciated.
