I would give it 0 stars if I could. Wife was craving buñuelos so I called an order in for pickup. We live in Montclair but the few local places did not have any for some reason. In addition I ordered dinner for that day as I felt bad about having to drive there just for them. Before hanging up I asked the lady taking the order if they definitely had it as I was going there specifically for them and that I didn’t live in the area. She put me on hold and supposedly checked with the kitchen. Came back a couple minutes later and clearly told me yes, we have them. She told me they would be ready in 20 minutes. Got there told them my name and that I was there to pick up. response was they’ll be ready in a bit. So I asked for a cup of coffee while I waited. After 20 minutes, that’s 40 minutes after placing the order, I started to get a little worried so I made eye contact with the staff. They just smiled back. One of them yelled at the kitchen staff something about buñuelos. I assumed they were checking to see if ready. So I waited patiently not wanting to be that guy. Thirty additional minutes go by and just as I was getting up to say something the lady at the counter tells me the ran out of the mix and that they would not have them for me. I simply paid for the coffee and left after asking why they didn’t tell me earlier that I had driven 20 minutes to get here and then they make me wait almost an hour before sayin anything. I got no response other than ‘we’re sorry would you like to order a different item’. What kind of customer service is this? Not saying anything for an hour and still trying to make a sale? Like they say in Colombia: VALEN VER**!!!

Food is good but unfortunately my order is incomplete and no the first time…
Update: I have issues ordering by ubereat and calling! With Ubereat app dont let write notes to your business so I called! You dont miss the sides only, also soda 3 times and one time whole order was wrong!
Again food is good, my recommendation do only pick up as I do sometimes or ask ur driver to double check ur order!

Found this restaurant through Marriott Eat Around Town. Upon entering, and it may just be the area, the odor inside was very strong. It smelt like sewage. I decided to stay and eat because the menu online look really good and I didn’t want to let the smell keep me from dining.
The lady quickly came up to seat me and take my drink order. She did a nice job of waiting on me. Seemed pretty friendly but unfortunately my Spanish is a little light.
I ordered carne asada and asked if there was an option that came with eggs. This again as part of the communication issue but I was not upset about it. She did provide me a side of eggs but I was pretty taken back when I got the check to see that it was $7.25. I can understand a few bucks but that was pretty excessive for what little bit of eggs that I received. The carne asada was okay but not really seasoned and kind of dry. The arepa was okay as well but didn’t floor me. Anticipate there’s some other foods on the menu that are good.
All in all it was an okay experience. I do wish they would have been more upfront with the price of eggs or at least offer a meal that comes with everything that you see in my photo. I spent almost $30 by the time you took the food the cost of the bottle of water, the credit card fee and the tip. I’d probably venture elsewhere for a better meal in the long run for the price.

Just wanted to share a positive experience/review. Colombian Restaurant Punto Paisa on Ridge Rd absolutely saved my breakfast event! After calling several diners who were not able to take my catering order (which is no fault of theirs- it was short notice after my first choice fell through) I was about ready to cancel the event but while my boyfriend and I were walking our dog at 7am we walked passed Punto Paisa. And we thought “hey doesn’t hurt to ask” The ladies at the counter and the Cook were so friendly and accommodating. They were able to make trays of scrambled eggs, bacon, and waffles- I also picked up a few Colombian chorizos – for 15 people in two hours! It turned out to be a total hit at my office. Price was also so reasonable and I’ll definitely be ordering from them again. Thank you to Punto Paisa ☺️

I come here every Tuesday and the food is delicious. People are very welcoming at hospitable the owner, Joanna she was sitting next to me by my table and we had great conversation. What a beautiful person she is. The food is always warm and fresh. I highly recommend anyone that wants to come and eat our traditional Colombian food. If I could give them 10 stars I would..

The Colombian food here is fragrant and delicious. The portions are generous. My colleagues loved their meals. None of us were able to finish our meals. The staff was courteous and friendly. If I am ever back in New Jersey, I will make sure to return here. They will not disappoint.

Good food, great attention. Went with a friend who suggested going there. I’ve tried the pan bono in several places. The one they have is by far the best I’ve had so far. There’s no private parking, street parking only.

I usually don’t write reviews, but I feel that after the experience I have with this place, I have to. We give few opportunities to this place, many times. We started going there almost since they open. After the last time, I ordered for pick up from them. I said that we will never go back there. My order was three meals. The food was cold and without any flavor, no even salt. The steak and the sweet plantains were burned. The chicken looks like it was uncooked in some places and for some reason, they give us Jasmine rice!. It was a waste of money, and this place is not cheap. We throw all the food away.
When I called to complain, they said they did not have a manager or nobody in charge that can help me. I called again the next day, they said the same. I left my number for someone to call me, but I never received any call.
As Colombians, it is nice to find places to eat our food. Unfortunately, this restaurant needs a lot of improvement on their quality of food and their customer service.
