Incredibly delicious and piping hot fresh made dominican food. Came in because of the interesting items on the menu and loved everything. Normally do not like cheese, but their cheese empandas was my favorite. Their bowl portions are huge and enough for two meals. Definetly get the Plato Fuertes as well. Beautifully plated and delicious combinations of meat. Will be returning.

We ordered the mofongo with garlic shrimp and the Punta Cana Bowl, and everything was simply amazing. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared.

I never write reviews. This is actually my first one ever. But I just had too for this restaurant. Came in today with a friend for lunch. We were new to the restaurant and the server took time to answer all our questions with great detail about the menu. Food came out fresh and piping hot. I had the build my own bowl option which was delicious and the portion fed me for two meals. Also sampled the empanadas which were also delicious. Made sure to write down the restaurant name and location as I will be back. Delicious food!!!!! Highly recommend!!!

I am part Haitian. Food Reminds me of back home. Very warm inviting environment and the food is fresh and delicious. One of the reasons I go to NY is to get good carribean food…. I’m glad we have a spot here now!

All I have to say is QUE RICO. I was thinking about buying a flight to DR just so I could get some pollo guisado, but I decided to try this place instead and was not disappointed. I ordered the Santo Domingo bowl and added sweet plantains and avocado and everything was very delicious and flavorful- even the rice! Everyone was super nice and accommodating. I will definitely be back to try the tres golpes next time 🙂

We happened to be in Maryland that day, and since my husband is Dominican, he wanted to try some authentic Dominican food. After searching online, we came across Punta Cana Tropical—and we absolutely do not regret it! The food was delicious, and our children especially enjoyed the empanadas. The restaurant was very clean, and the server was really friendly. We will definitely be returning!
