My wife and I noticed this place on the Google map because of its 4.5 rating and decided that we absolutely had to try it. Our server was very accommodating in helping us to decide what we were going to eat since we were not very familiar with Dominican dishes. My wife had the mangu tres golpes and I had the pernil (pork shoulder). Both were fantastic. We also had a side of yucca fries and tres leches for dessert. We will definitely be back!

We’ve come here a few times over the years but this was my 1st time trying the Sancocho and it did not disappoint. It was delicious! Just like my Tia Gleiny’s! We also had the Ropa Vieja and it was one of the best ones I’ve had and they add platano maduro, which gives it a special sweet taste. It was really good! The music & service were also on point!

Came here with my Dominican family ( my cousin is married to a Dominican and he is half Dominican and half Puerto Rican) and they rated it 8-9 stars out of 10!! I order a mofongo for the first time. He explained that mofongo is a Puerto Rican dish. I love that they were playing Dominican- salsa music such a vibe. Overall a great experience , easy parking and the staff was super nice! A must try. The deserts were also delish

Definitely recommend!!
If you want to try authentic Dominican food this restaurant was amazing.

The service first of all was great! Very welcoming as you came in and constantly checking in with you.

The food! 10/10 I couldn’t quite pick a favorite as they had many great dishes. The cocktails were also very good!

The vibes were great with quite a bit of bachata and merengue playing.

Food is very good, they have lunch specials during the week including pernil, pollo guisado, etc for about $12-13. I ordered the pollo guisado and moro, both were good and we have a little left over. My partner ordered the pica pollo and the fried chicken was decent.

The food does take some time, and servers did not check in too often so I would recommend ordering ahead of time (unless you have a long lunch break),

There are plenty of tables, but it is a little dark inside, 2 bathrooms inside. The juice was on the sweet side so just watered it down (wish they have smoothies), but they get 5 stars overall for the flavor and the price point. Plenty of parking as it’s in located along other stores.

While I was looking for seafood in Houston, I found this Dominican Republic restaurant in the Willowbrook Mall area. I ordered the red snapper. I was very pleased with the flavor and sides. I was craving plantains and I’ve got several. I also ordered a passion fruit juice, which was very delicious. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great. Good music and cool decoration.

I love going to Punta Cana with my family! Especially those days/nights when i don’t feel like cooking but want home cooked food. This hidden gem has been a favorite of ours for a few years already! The service has always been amazing and the food well you will leave full and content. Everytime I bring a new friend or family member here they always want to go back. Empanadas are a must everytime and every meal we’ve had has been amazing! The staff is always so sweet to my family and I and if the owner is there he still acts like an employee and interacts/helps with serving clean up and regular duties. One time we were there near closing and he walked over to ask if we were interested in taking home empanadas. It had to be a good 10 of them no charge and we were so grateful for that gesture. We will always support Punta Cana ❣️

This is a great little spot. You are welcomed in the moment you walk in. The staff is nice and attentive. The food is delicious. The menu does not have prices, which I don’t like, so be careful when you order. But the food comes out fresh, hot and delicious. I had their oxtails today. Perfectly seasoned and flavorful. They are well known for the goat too. The restaurant is nice and quaint. It does get busy but at 11am it’s pretty quiet. The restaurant is clean. And if you are celebrating a birthday, let them know. They play the birthday songs and bring out a slice of dessert. You have to try them out!!

This was my first time at this spot and I can say that I was very impressed by the food and the service. I love Dominican food and being puerto rican myself, this food reminded me of home! Everything was delicious and fresh. Had great flavor and very authentic! The place is small so be ready when you walk in but totally worth it !
