Went by at 5:30 Sunday. Though it is posted to be open till 8 on this site we were waved off by the worker inside the store. The pictures led us to believe it was a hamburger joint, but it is primarily a place to play pool.

Punky’s was an awesome little pub serving fries, sandwiches and burgers! We went for lunch during an off-peak week-day so it wasn’t busy. The waitress greeted us immediately and brought us menus and drinks. She was attentive and the food was fantastic. Will definitely be back the next time we come through Cairo.

Town of Cairo is lucky as heck to have such a place as Punky’s…recently went through Cairo and stopped in again….owners are great.. place very clean with excellent pool tables….food is superb…..met some locals who were very friendly…. great entertainment…all-in-all fun time…..really a plus for a small town….and they have leagues!!!…. awesome stuff

They are very clean atmosphere and the people are very friendly it’s a lot of fun great place to take the family kids and all and get out the house for a while people there are like family and make you feel the same there’s not very many places here in Cairo Georgia that makes blacks feel comfortable and welcome as equals and I love going there and taking my family and will recommend it to any others and any other races respectfully Roberta
