The service during our visit was disappointing. The first staff member who greeted us didn’t smile and simply said, “sit here,” which set an unfriendly tone. When I asked which curries did not contain tomato, she repeatedly responded with, “it’ll say it on the menu,” rather than offering help or checking with the kitchen. I had to ask multiple times before she reluctantly asked the chef.

She later returned and advised that the tikka masala and butter chicken do not contain tomato, even though the menu clearly states otherwise. When I pointed this out, she became defensive and said she was “telling us what the chef told her.” Thankfully, another staff member stepped in and provided accurate information, which was very appreciated.

The food itself was average—extremely sweet and lacking depth of spice or flavour. While we were able to finish our meal, it tasted more like curry with a cup of sugar in it rather than a well-balanced dish.

Overall, the combination of poor service and unremarkable food means we wouldn’t return. I hope the restaurant considers improving menu knowledge and customer service, as it would make a significant difference to the dining experience.

We came here all the way from the Gold Coast because I’m celiac and have been craving naan bread. The staff were incredibly attentive, helpful, and friendly. The food was bursting with flavour, and my gluten free naan was absolutely delicious. The only downside for us is the drive, but it’s definitely worth it. We’ll be back!

Punjab Curry Club at Wellington Point, Brisbane is an absolute gem for authentic North Indian flavours with a modern touch. The food here is simply outstanding.

I tried the lamb chops perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavour. The rara chicken (an off menu item) was a real standout, rich and indulgent, clearly made with skill and passion. The butter chicken was creamy and well balanced, and the chicken tikka was tender, smoky, and beautifully spiced.

A special mention to their drinks, the chilli margarita and mango margarita are hands down favourites, refreshing and expertly crafted, pairing perfectly with the food.

What truly elevates the experience is the hospitality. Mr. Rohit, the owner, goes above and beyond to make every guest feel at home. His personal attention and genuine care reflect in both the service and the food.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for great Indian food, warm hospitality, and a memorable dining experience in Brisbane. ️

Absolutely fantastic experience at Punjab Curry Club, Wellington Point. The food was rich, authentic and full of flavour — clearly cooked with care and pride. Every dish we tried was spot on, from the perfectly spiced curries to the fresh naan.
A special shout-out for having Old Monk rum available — a brilliant and unexpected touch that really set the night apart and made it feel genuinely authentic. Great service, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent value for money.
We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended for anyone who loves proper Indian food done right.

First time dining here, we had a booked table for a birthday last night and I was extremely disappointed. From the beginning, the experience felt rushed. The first server hurried us while taking our order, which didn’t give me a proper chance to read the menu thoroughly. Because of this, I ordered my usual dish that I’ve had at other locations, assuming it would be the same.

Unfortunately, both dishes tasted very different. After leaving, I felt unwell and later went online to properly read the menu, where I discovered the recipe bases were different and contained onions, which I am allergic to.

Throughout the meal, there were constant interruptions from servers attempting to clear the table, which made us feel like we were being pushed to leave so the table could be turned over. One server repeatedly reached over me and hovered while I was still eating, even did it when packaging leftover food at the table, which was uncomfortable.

It also took three attempts to successfully order a second drink. Overall, the service, food and experience did not meet expectations. We will not dine or eat from here again

We had a great experience last night, despite living in the area for years we finally had the opportunity to eat in. The food was great & even though it was busy, the service was quick. Everyone was so friendly, so we will definitely be return customers.

The ambiance was delightful, with tastefully decorated surroundings and attentive, friendly staff. The food was delicious, and we even indulged in a special drink. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning to sample more delights. The food were not only appealing in appearance but also had an inviting aroma.

Returned to Punjab Curry Club for the first time in a while and grabbed takeaway — Butter Chicken and Beef Vindaloo (no coriander). As always, it was absolutely magnificent, and it genuinely made me wonder why I haven’t been back sooner. That butter chicken sauce is next level — they should seriously bottle it. Can’t wait to return again (much sooner this time).

A delightful restaurant with wonderful ambience, food and top tier customer service.

The occasion was a birthday dinner for a party of eight.

The whole restaurant was busy and buzzing, yet all covid protocols were followed. Attention to detail and the most helpful and friendly customer service provided. Recommendations were provided and accepted.

I asked for a mild curry, and *the kitchen understood the assignment* 🙂 I’m grateful for this as not every brown person wants a spicy curry lol

You can certainly tell it’s a family run business where the owners take great pride in attention to detail. Staff were plentiful and they appeared to be well trained as not once did we have to follow up with any of our food items or requests. In fact, they followed up with us and were doing the same to other diners as well.

A wonderful establishment, the food was amazing and enjoyed by all. Definitely a must visit and I look forward to my next experience.

Thank you Rohit and Hitesh and to your wonderful staff.
