✨ Dinner at Pulito Osteria did not disappoint
The baby beets were super fresh, the Margherita pizza was classic perfection, and the lobster + filet were both amazing — so tender and flavorful. The mushrooms on the side were addicting
Ended the night with the warm apple crumble and vanilla ice cream… absolute heaven
Everything was beautifully done — can’t wait to go back!

(WARNING PRICEY BLAND FOOD) Pulito Osteria offers a warm atmosphere with an impressive bar program. Charles, the bar manager, stood out for his knowledge of the seasonal menu and the chef’s commitment to using local produce. His recommendations and the overall beverage menu were a highlight of the evening. However, after I told him the chicken was under seasoned, he insulted the south by saying food here is overly seasoned and that we don’t understand seasoning. While rambling on he offered to bring salt insinuating that’s all the seasoning we know. I rejected the offer. Charles (the bar manager) was overly bragging about the items on the menu which ultimately fell short. Learn to recommend without over selling because my palate was disappointed. For food, the menu offers variety, but execution was hit-or-miss. I started with the Pork & Ricotta Meatballs (tomato gravy, parmesan). While the meatballs themselves were very dense, the tomato gravy delivered ok flavor and balance. For my entrée, I had the Roasted Chicken (half bird with fine herbs salsa verde). Unfortunately, the lemony salsa verde overwhelmed the dish, the chicken skin was rubbery, and the seasoning fell flat, making this a miss for me.
On the side, I tried three offerings:
Delta Grind Polenta with Parmesan — by far the best dish of the night. Creamy, rich, and perfectly seasoned.
Spicy Fried Potatoes — crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired wonderfully with the polenta.
Purple Hull Peas with Chili Vinegar — creative, but the flavors didn’t quite come together for me.
Overall, the standout here is the bar experience but seating is limited. However, with its extensive beverage list and skilled cocktails, I’d recommend grabbing a seat at the bar to sip and relax. I plan to return to try their scratch-made pastas (hyped by the bar manager), but I’d skip the roasted chicken. Lastly, I recommend reservations for better seating.

My wife and I enjoyed dinner last night at Pulito. The atmosphere was great, especially dining outdoors, and the service was friendly and attentive. Most of the food ranged from good to very good, so overall it was shaping up to be a really nice evening.
Where things went sideways a bit was when the bill arrived.
Our server recommended the Cowboy steak (32 oz) as a daily special. I ordered it, assuming it would fall somewhere in the general range you’d expect for that cut at a neighborhood restaurant. When the check came, the steak was $165, which honestly surprised me.
For context, I’ve had comparable steaks at well-known steakhouses like Chops Lobster Bar and Morton’s The Steakhouse, both outstanding restaurants, and paid noticeably less. A similar 32 oz Cowboy steak at Chops was about $139, and a 20 oz Cowboy steak at Morton’s was $79. Even at Del Frisco’s, their 32 oz Tomahawk is $145.
In fairness, I didn’t ask the price when the special was mentioned. That said, it probably would help diners if the price of specials was mentioned up front, because seeing one item account for roughly two-thirds of the total bill was definitely a surprise.
Aside from that, there were several positives. The garlic bread was excellent, the white asparagus appetizer was very good, and the Chianti was enjoyable. The Caesar salad was okay, and the shiitake mushroom side had good flavor but was unfortunately over-salted.
All in all, Pulito has a lot going for it—nice atmosphere, good service, and some very good dishes. But the unexpected pricing on the steak put a bit of a damper on an otherwise enjoyable evening. Lesson learned on my end as well: when a special is mentioned, it’s always worth asking the price.

We had a wonderful experience. The ambiance is great – it’s a beautifully decorated space and the seating is very comfortable. I love the layout and we could see the kitchen from our booth, which was cool. The staff is super friendly! We ordered the meatball appetizer, the bread service, four pasta dishes, the steak, broccoli side, greens, Caesar salad and cocktails. Everything was delicious, but the Caesar salad and steak stood out. The steak was a PERFECTLY cooked medium rare and a great size. My husband said it was as good, if not better, than his favorite steak place in Ridgeland. 😉
Just a warning, it is higher end and the prices do reflect that. The portions are on the smaller side, but the quality is incredible. I’d love to see them throw in a few more less expensive pieces of bread to bulk up the bread service and make you feel like you are getting a little more bang for your buck. But that’s the most constructive/critical thing I could think of! They are super organized, friendly, fast and provide a great experience start to finish!

Atmosphere was comfortable, server was amazing, and our meal was delicious. Definitely recommend making a reservation. I had trouble getting the online reservation to load so I called and the host was super friendly. I made a reservation for 2 at 8:30 and the restaurant, inside and out was really full when we arrived. Street parking is easy and free. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of the other menu items. Overall this was an excellent experience.

Pulito Osteria in Jackson is an absolute gem. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food? Next-level. My friend and I started with the bread service—fresh, crusty, and served with olive oil that was full of flavor. We shared a Margherita pizza, and it was perfect—simple, wood-fired, and done right. Chef Chaz Lindsay clearly knows his craft. From the ingredients to the service, everything was on point. If you’re craving Italian with a Southern twist, this is the spot. You’ll leave already planning your next visit.

World-class food! There’s no denying the flawless execution in every dish. Everything we ate was perfect, with a touch of rustic charm. The cocktails were eloquently classy with an old world American charm. The decor is classic Mediterranean meets the retro-southern Fondren art culture. Overall, one of the best restaurants experiences my wife and I have ever had.

My boyfriend and I joined our friends last night for a double date and decided on Pulito as we had never been and heard amazing things. Our experience did not disappoint! This is my new favorite Italian spot! The food was perfection, everything we tried was filled with flavor. I highly recommend the tomato salad, the collards (I typically don’t eat them, but I could have had these as my meal, delicious) and the bolognese pasta. Their wine pairings and cocktails are creative and add a touch of glamour to an already beautifully planned menu. Their espresso martini was to die for. And the nilla wafer tiramisu, WOW. Our server was from New Orleans originally and was delightful and funny. The chef / owner was so kind and humble, very talented in his craft. This place is a gem. 11/10 experience.
Spectacular food & drinks. Amazing service. Great atmosphere. We’ll certainly be returning.

Nice experience overall, ambiance is nice and elegant, service is good, food is good. For entrees The pork tenderloin was ordered; not sure if the funnel pollen was overpowering the pork flavor itself so I couldn’t leave without trying the braised short rib and I would return specifically for that. It melts in your mouth and when you pair it with a glass of red wine you can’t ask for more…
The crudo was a nice light treat before the sphaghetata which you can tell the pasta is made fresh in house which I appreciated.
