Everything was delicious. We were a little bummed out that the mimosa flight wasn’t available during the week, but we were still able to order one. Gumbo and the shrimp bisque were tasty. Beignets were ok. We were hoping for a variety of beignets but we’re happy to be able to order some of the basic ones.

Pujo’s offers a very inviting atmosphere with an amazing ambience. Our visit was for a Saturday brunch and found it to be a very family oriented eating establishment. It provides a numerous amount of seating arrangements including an outdoor weather protected area with a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. The indoor area has ample seating even for large groups. They even provide a private special event room. There was very little wait time. With a centrally located bar. Our waitress’s name was Sydney. She was so charming, witty and engaging, while meeting our every need. I would highly recommend her as she would certainly be an excellent waitress request. The food is outstanding! I had the 3 egg omelet with onions,green bell peppers,mushrooms,tomatoes and cheese. My husband had the Pujo Banana French Toast and my Son had the Contraband Benedict with Amaratto raspberry cheesecake. Perfect coffee and Orange juice. You will not go away hungry.

The Brussels sprouts special was incredible, along with the gumbo and sticky ribs. Po boy was just okay, but will definitely return to try more delicious food. Very cool building, nice patio, local art for sale on the walls.

Steak was raw. I asked for medium rare, didn’t give me that and afterwards made me feel sick. They don’t season the steak, it was completely bland i had to try and salt it. The waiter was so sweet, but the chefs suck. Only thing that tasted good was the fries

Right in the heart of downtown Lake Charles lies Pujo’s. A nice café with plenty of dining options. Drinks and appetizers while watching the sun set. Perfect!

The Pujo St Cafe was a délicieux last-minute stop driving through town on the way to Beaumont. Mini-Me ordered the tortellini but asked for the dish without the cream sauce because of her allergies. The server was pleasant and was sure to double-check about how The dishes were prepared.
The Chef came out and offered different preparation options that would make the dish tastier. She took one of his suggestions and enjoyed the dish immensely! I enjoyed a Cesar salad with crawfish and selected the fried eggplant parmigiana with angel hair pasta for ma péré (to go.) I could eat an entire bag of the homemade croutons.
When we arrived, Dad’s food was still a tiny bit warm. He said it smelled so good, he ate some it immediately -despite proclaiming it was too late in the evening to eat.
We hope to visit next week before Mini-Me goes back to school. I hope to try the specialty cocktails and the beignets. I didn’t take pictures of the interior but the decor is artistic yet welcoming.

I have yet to have a bad meal there. The burgers are juicy and flavorful and crab cakes are the best that I’ve personally ever had. You definitely have to try the Maryland Benedict – it’s eggs Benedict but with crab cakes instead of English muffins. 20/10!

We had the best experience at Pujo St Cafe!! The outside area was pet friendly so we could bring our little man Parish with us!! Food was GREAT and the staff were very friendly ! We had the salmon special and the crab ravioli!!! OUTSTANDING!!!

Wanted this to be a staple restaurant for when we come out of town but…
As I so wanted to give this place another shot with the rest of my family because of the feedback from my other post.
Unfortunately missed the mark again but worse, my family’s food looked delicious, I decided on their “signature” burger and told the waitress very specifically I wanted very very well done because I can’t tolerate any red meat. I had to sit and dig out the pink and didn’t end up finishing it due to feeling sick to my stomach.
My family wanted refills on coffee, water and sauces but it took so long they ended up finishing their food, before we were able to even ask again for it. I ended up having to get up and let the gentleman know we do not need those items because we were ready to check out and even getting our check took forever.
I have no idea what happened to our waitress but we didn’t end up seeing her till the end of our check, no refills or asking if we needed anything after the coffee and sauces after that she was pretty much gone for 30min+.
I’m sorry the atmosphere was great but the people in charge of the tables need some help.
