Extraordinary Costa Rican food in a simple and inviting bistro setting. We LOVED the Chifrijo. The black beans and white rice with the fried pork morsals were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The Olla de carne (traditional beef and vegetable soup) was so delicious. The empanadas are huge, we shared the carne y queso one, can’t wait to try the chicken next time. We will definitely be back.

The last I was there was not the greatest. The lady in the front always seems annoyed when I pick up my food. I don’t pay any mind since I’m only there to pick up but my husband also notices it, but maybe it’s only us she doesn’t like because everyone else seems to have great customer service. We took a 20 min walk on memorial day with the kids. I asked her for a bag but they didn’t have because she said the police stopped by and they were forbidden to have any type of bags, yet other restaurants have paper bags. Second, since it was a hot day we wanted something cold and my husband asked her what kind of smoothies they had available, she looked at him, sighed and rolled her eyes, grabbed the menu and read what was on the menu. She was lucky we still left with our 3 orders. Luckily walgreens gave us a free paper bag.
