I ordered the Burrito Texano and it was incredible. It was packed with steak, chicken, shrimp, Monterrey Jack cheese, rice and beans, and every bite had great flavor. The toppings of lettuce, tomato and sour cream were fresh and made it even better. It was a big portion too, definitely worth the price.
We also had three steak tacos, and those were just as good. The steak was tender, well seasoned and not overcooked, and the tacos were simple in the best way, letting the flavor of the meat stand out. Overall, great food, great service and a really enjoyable visit. We will definitely be back, and we will be asking for David again.
The location in downtown Muskegon is great. What a spot for a new business to get into as the development works to return Muskegon to a place where people want to be.
Upon entry the decor was good, it felt welcoming and warm, but warm only in the visual sense. It was freezing in there. Our entire group left our coats on. It’s winter in Michigan! It was 10 degrees outside with wind gusts above 15mph! I literally drank my beer with gloves on. Please turn on the heat.
The food was great! I had the Tacos Carna Asada that also came with a plate of beans and rice. The meat was nicely seasoned, and the portion per taco was ebouch. The rice and beans were very flavorful. Now, coming from a Mexican home where we always had grandma making our classic dishes, its hard to find a resteraunt that can serve for those dishes that compare. Now with that being said, was it mom’s or grandma’s? No, but it absolutely tasted delicious.
Our waiter and his colleagues were fantastic making sure our drinks were filled and table was clear of dishes after we ate. Very, very pleasant interactions.
Aside from the fact that it was freezing cold in there, I would still say this is a great spot to enjoy some great food. We will definitely return and especially can’t wait to visit when the warm weather returns to Michigan. Until then, turn on the heat.
Much better this time around! Good service and food! Prices are higher than what I would expect of this place.
