When I brought it to the manager’s attention, instead of apologizing, he immediately told me that no one working there had blonde hair. I explained that no one at our table had long blonde hair either, so it may have come from someone who prepped the food earlier. His response felt dismissive and defensive rather than concerned.
While they did comp the meal, there was no sincere apology or indication that they genuinely cared about the issue. That was especially disappointing given that members of our group have previously held business meals here and brought repeat business. After this experience, none of us plan to return.
I do want to note that our waiter was great — attentive and professional throughout — and we made sure to tip him accordingly. Unfortunately, the manager’s handling of the situation overshadowed what otherwise could have been a good experience.
I am very pleased to do my review of the Puerto Vallarta Mexican restaurant in Gig Harbor today. My family and I have not eaten at this restaurant in 10 years even though we live about 7 minutes from it. And that was because we had a bad experience in 2014.
We had a late lunch /dinner around 3:00 p.m. and for us it was a perfect time they were not very many people and it allowed me to take many pictures and check out the restaurant. First off they gave us some very fresh tortilla chips with salsa and also a bean dip which was absolutely delicious! I ended up getting a chicken and tortilla soup as an appetizer which was delicious and then we ordered a fiesta platter which came with taquitos and nachos and cheese and a few other items which is very delicious. We noticed that they are very generous with the portions so if you spend $15 or so dollars on a meal you definitely get your money’s worth. I wanted to try their Pollo asado which I happen to be a big fan of, you can see all the pictures because I wanted to showsome highlights. Restaurants very lively I like the colors even the menus I was very thrilled to see they’re almost like heavy leather and very quality made. So I can see how the restaurant does get crowded on Fridays and Saturdays. My wife had a margarita which she enjoyed but my daughter and I really enjoyed their regular lemonade. All I know is a very pleasurable experience especially after such a long hiatus! So I certainly do recommend going in and having a lunch or dinner. I think anyone would just really enjoy themselves. Just to put some perspective for the three of us with all the food we ate it came out to around $140
