Esta historia se inicia hace mas de 26 años cuando Jose Luis Fernández López nacido en Estoupelo, un pueblo en Galicia, llega a Argentina en busca de un futuro mejor. Luego de mucho trabajo, esfuerzo y sacrificio logra montar, en 1995, un Restaurante en cual bautiza como Puerto Cristal en la barrio de Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires. Un verdadero sueño hecho realidad para Él y toda su familia. Con intenciones de continuar con el legado de su abuelo, su nieto mayor decidió volver a la tierra de su abuelo y, en Málaga, montar un Restaurante llamado Puerto Cristal. Bienvenido a nuestra Familia.

We came here for paella and it didn’t disappoint. We ordered the seafood and chicken paella, the rice was on the soft side which is what we like, the seafood was very good, the two big prawns were cooked really nicely and they really were big! There were many chicken pieces and other seafood too. The rice itself was very tasty as well and the portion is just right for two people. We ordered just one starter, the beef conqutte and that was very good as well. The restaurant is also very nicely decorated, located in a quiet street and the staffs were all very friendly, so overall a great experience

We had a wonderful dinner at Puerto Cristal Restaurant. The paella was delicious and perfectly cooked. A very pleasant surprise was the complimentary local Baileys at the end — such a lovely touch! Thank you for the great food, warm service, and memorable experience. We will definitely come back.

Puerto Cristal is an absolute gem. The prawn croquettes were outstanding — perfectly crispy on the outside, rich and full of flavour inside. Honestly, some of the best croquettes I’ve ever eaten. Beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. A must-try if you’re here. Absolutely top level.

Absolutely great restaurant… very friendly staff (speaking English) and great food at reasonable prices. For me, the best draft beer. Outdoor seating away from the tourist traffic, but nice and pleasant. If you visit Malaga and want great food, quiet outdoor seating and great draft beer, I recommend going to the Puerto Cristal restaurant

My brother and I had a delicious meal and good service, when we visited at lunchtime on 30 Dec 2025. The photos are from our visit on 30 December 2025. Before we left, we made a reservation, with a member of staff ,on their app for 1.30pm on 1 January 2026. We were told there was only availability for 1 hour and 45 minutes, on that date, we said that was OK and booked the table for 1.30pm on 1 January 2026. When we arrived at about 1.20pm on 1 January, a different member of staff told us there was no reservation made for us and we would have to sit outside. We decided not to do so. Whilst we waited outside to decide what to do, we watched a group of four people, who did not have a reservation, ask for a table, they were immediately shown inside and seated. Then two people asked for a table inside, they were also shown to their table inside. We didn’t know why this happened. The only difference between us and the other people were they were white and we are black.
