Orange Green Tea – 3.5/5 moons
This one wasn’t mine (it was the hubs’), and he’s a 100% sugar kind of guy while I’m more of a 50% girl. It was a bit too sweet for me, but if you love full sweetness, you’ll probably enjoy it. Huge bonus points for using fresh orange.
Strawberry Green Tea (50% sugar) – 4.5/5 moons
I really enjoyed this one. It felt like a kiss on a warm day — refreshing, light, and perfectly balanced at 50% sweetness. They use fresh strawberries, which makes such a difference.
Matcha Strawberry with Oat Milk (50% sugar)
I had to go with oat milk since they didn’t offer lactose-free milk (which is a must for me). I don’t mind oat milk, but growing up making boba, I’m used to a creamier dairy base — so the oat milk made it a little… less satisfying than I’d hoped. That said, they layer real strawberry at the bottom, and every jelly bite had actual fruit. That part? Chef’s kiss.
Food – Bánh Mì
I love my bánh mì, and this one absolutely delivered. It tasted like how I grew up — fresh, flavorful, nostalgic. It is a bit small (hello, shrinkflation), but if they keep up the quality, I truly think they’ll be around for long time.
The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the moment you walk in, it feels welcoming and relaxing. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to!
I ordered the Hot and Cold combo; choosing the Grilled Teriyaki Chicken for the sandwhich and Honeydew Milk Tea for the drink, adding boba for an extra 75 cents.
Since the combo was called hot and cold, I was expecting the sandwhich to be hot while the tea would be cold but was suprised to find that the sandwhich was cold. I shared half of it with my boyfriend and we both agreed that the sandwhich was pretty good despite the expectation on the sandwhich temperature.
Edit to the last paragraph: We were still at the shop playing card games when the owner/staff read this review. Turns out the sandwhich was supposed to be warm/hot and they offered to make us another sandwhich even though we were perfectly happy with the one we consumed. We got the warm version too and it was just as good! Didn’t expect this at all but I’m happy they seem to really care about customer satisfaction.
The honeydew milk tea was a bit too sweet starting off, but I quickly realized this might be due to the boba. Not sure if there’s some sweet syrup the boba sits in and maybe it ended up at the bottom of the cup, but once I stirred it a bit the sweetness balanced out. The boba had a nice consistency as well.
Wish they have a lot of food options but I kinda wish they also had the typical boba shop snacks (popcorn chicken, fries, etc).
The owner(?) And staff are pretty friendly too. They saw one of us ripping pokemon packs and politely asked if they could watch us. They interacted and made conversation with us during this.
My boyfriend and I unfortunately aren’t usually in this area unless we are visiting family but would definately drop by if we are in the area.
Staff cheerful even suggested items that were his personal favorite. Would be a great place to sit chat or work! Finally a place out here that is quick and not “fast food” but delicious.
