Great little restaurant with handmade tortillas! You can get their tacos with either regular tortillas or handmade, definitely go for the handmade. We met the woman who was making them, she seemed to be one of the owners and she was so nice. Her husband was running the front of house/bar. She told us that they make everything on the menu fresh every morning and it definitely tasted like it.

We went for lunch one day and had the tacos. Then we went back for lunch the next day for the tamales, which are not on the menu every day. Highly recommend the tamales! Most of the time when we get tamales anywhere there’s way too masa and not enough meat, but these were perfect. We had the pork tamales, which were fairly spicy.

We also really enjoyed their chips, also homemade.

Price was very reasonable, we had three handmade tacos, two tamales, free chips and salsa, and soft drinks for $28.

Wow! What an amazing spot! Heard the music from outside, so we peaked our heads in and had a blast. The food was authentic and prices were great. We had wonderful service from Katherine. She makes a damn good margarita. The hand made tacos, chips and salsa, and desserts are made with love. 10/10 recommend.

OK, so this may now be our go-to Mexican restaurant in Bigfork. We’ve tried other places in the area, and they range from ‘fine’ to just bad. We visited Taco Loco for the 1st time tonight we were very pleased. Food quality was a step above other places we’ve tried. I got the taco plate, and my partner got the enchiladas. Both were great. Prices were about the same as other restaurants, maybe a dollar or two more.

They make fresh salsa, albeit under seasoned and still foamy from the blender. They do not, however, serve Birria tacos as people think of them. I ordered Birria tacos, they brought me pork Carnitas “tacos” on tiny flour shells, filled with cheese, drowning in canned red enchilada sauce. It was downright terrible. I ordered a side of rice, which was completely flavorless beyond the overwhelming taste of oil. The house margarita was fine, but definitely from a premix. I was going to send my plate back, but the service was so slow that seemed impractical..

I was told to seat myself, but every single table had liquids and crumbs, and salsa spilled on them. I sat there for nearly 5 minutes before a server came by to ask for my order and clean the table, pushing the crumbs onto the floor. For the cost, not worth it. Nothing authentic or genuine about this place.

Good food
Thank you to Fransisco and his mom for making us feel welcome, ontop of the good meal we had a good conversation.
They said the location is new, opened three weeks ago, it’s fresh tasting mexican food, if you don’t like flavor or salsa on your food just let the waitress know you don’t want salsa they can easily leave it off your burrito/quesadilla/empanada ect

11 bucks for chips and a little plastic cup of salsa. The other Mexican places around are definitely better bang for your buck.
My flautas were definitely taquitos from the store. They are certainly trying here so our group decided to round up and give them 2 stars, but we will not be returning.

Unexpectedly DELICIOUS, authentic Mexican restaurant in Bigfork, Montana! Choose your meat empanadas, tacos, burritos… I chose pork carnitas for my empanada and we chose lengua for our handmade taco and burrito. The empanada was made with a handmade, homemade flour tortilla, perfectly, evenly fried golden. The handmade lengua taco was built with a 4″ freshly homemade corn tortilla. Perfect! The lengua burrito was stuffed with meat, rice, beans, and cheese smothered in a tasty Birria-style red sauce. Tortilla Chips fried fresh! I tried all of their hot sauces and salsa… just the right flavor and spice level on the red and green chile… house salsa was a bit too mild and on the watery side for my liking, costing them a star here in my review. It was just ok salsa! You’ve gotta rock my world with your house salsa for five stars. STILL…
Never would’ve thought we would find Mexican food in Bigfork this DELIGHTFUL! The family who runs this place deserve your business. Support them… GOOD PEOPLE!
