This is a nice little place. Parking is shared with 7/11 so it can be a bit crowded. I ordered the #8 plate. They have a small salsa bar with several options. The rice and beans were good which can be a hit and miss at different places. The food was pretty good and the other patrons appeared to enjoy it. Their soft tacos appeared to be a favorite.

I stopped by because it was right next to 7-11 and I was craving chilaquiles.
I ordered their red chilaquiles, and also a side of the chorizo and egg. The chilaquiles was pretty good. Crispy chips and the red sauce was delicious. The side of beans was good and the rice was also descent. The side of chorizo and egg was also a great addition to my chilaquiles.
I’d definitely come back again in the future to try some of their other items. Parking is limited because it’s in a plaza but worth the drive over.

I love this place it’s very charming. You can get all sorts of the standard type, meaning the fare you could get anywhere, but done to a very high standard. And beyond that you can get all sorts of special things like mole poblano and mulitas. their shrimp tacos were not as good as I have had elsewhere, even nearby they’re probably only number 3, but they do so well with everything, and they have so much to offer, that I’m very impressed

Food was plenty for the price but this is definitely not mexican food it looks like it but the taste is way off.Maybe for people who dont know what real mexican food tastes like.
The sauces are watered down no flavor to them the fruit flavored water taste like tang or powdered definitely not good.

Bad.
I ordered a carne asada burrito – it was 10% carne, 90% beans and rice.
$13.89 is so overpriced.
You can get more carne in a Steak Chalupa from Taco Bell.
I’m from San Diego and have a home in Tijuana.
This is far from good Mexican food.
Don’t bother.

Puebla Tacos is a good spot for pretty authentic Mexican food. They have a good looking breakfast menu. And their kitchen is open at least until 1:30am on weekends. For ambiance, think more like a Winchells Doughnuts, but with wall-to-wall nature murals from floor to ceiling. Parking is not entirely easy or street free. Puebla is next to a busy 7-11. Be careful, lots of traffic, and interesting people watching and occasionally some excitement. The 7-11 has a security guard posted at the door.
And FYI, if you want a tour of the kitchen or to chat with the cook and dishwasher, ask to use the restroom. You literally walk directly through the full length of their kitchen. Everyone that works at Puebla is chill and cool, especially the sweet woman in front.
I have tried the Tampiquena. Less than $15 with tax and tip. And the shrimp burrito, which is about $12 all in. Both were very good, but Pasadena has stiff competition. But for the money, and especially late night. They R D bomb

Amazing service, okay tacos. Meat was not crispy like most places, the tortillas also tasted like cheap store bought mission tortillas. Flavor was ok, nothing worth bragging about as well.

Easy to make this place a habitual meal stop. Weekend soups are amazing. Recommend their Shrimp burrito if your tired of the typical carne and bean burrito . Be sure to add side of chips and home made salsa on the side.
