PublicHouse is conveniently located just minutes from the UO Campus and downtown Eugene— a couple of blocks off of Main Street in Springfield. It is the home to 6 Food Vendors, a BeerHall, a Whiskey Lab and Co-Working / Meeting Space– all within a beautiful, old church. Weekly entertainment includes Monday Trivia, Tuesday Bingo, Watch Party Wednesdays, Live Music on Fridays and Open Mic on Sundays. Events are all-ages and most are free to join. Hubby and I went to public house today expecting some good food. We love the atmosphere and the space, but the food vendor we got food from was very disappointing. Food vendor is nave. They have burgers and sandwiches. Hubby got a sandwich which he asked for meat & cheese only. They got that wrong. I ordered a club sandwich and the bread was burnt. When it was sent back to get remade. They said “that’s how it comes” That’s complete BS!!! I didn’t eat much of the sandwich. Picked at it. Wasted $16 dollars. What happened to “the customer is always right.” Won’t be going back.

Venue is great. Food is average, as others say. Drink station has a good variety. A drink is $8-10. A burger with practically no meat is $17, not worth it, the onion on it was thicker! I mean Costco retail price for 3lbs is $15. This is beyond chintzy. I Will continue to support the musicians and try different food options. But never burger again.

Sadly, we believe the food has gone downhill. My pot stickers were so crunchy they were hard to eat and lacked freshness and flavor. The orange chicken was good. My husband had brisket. It was very dry with very little sauce. Someone near us also ordered it and it appeared freshly made. There was even a mistake made on our drinks. The Friday night music was great and helped make up for the questionably expensive food. Hope we don’t get sick.

This place is sort of unique because it feels kind of like a mini mall food court, but much better options of food and drinks all without the shopping center. We don’t go often enough, so I’m not sure how often the food vendor options change, but we’ve always found something excellent to eat.
Having lots of option makes it easy for a big group that’s going out and each has their own interest in food options. Great place to meet up and hang out.
The building is a renovated church which adds to the character offering that sense of a gathering place to hang out.

It was cold in the back area this time. The heat is usually on, though. It’s a great atmosphere with events on a stage in the fully tented, and heated, back area. We enjoy all of the eateries but are particularly fond of Black Market BBQ. The drinks are fantastic.
