Made a visit Friday morning and were the first ones in there. There’s no table service so you have to keep going up to order and ask for things. They only have one menu that everyone was fighting for. The guy working there is very polite and listened to our mimosa requests (a hint of juice in each). Those were the best things.

I came with a family member and she ordered a cappuccino and something the worker suggested which looked like a breakfast plate of some sort. The cappuccino was solid but her plate was basic, nothing special, very salty bacon. The eggs weren’t scrambled as requested but omelet like. The potatoes were the best thing on that plate and I cleaned out their house made hot sauce. It’s not really spicy but it’s tasty.

As for me, I got the falafel salad. That falafel was dry and bland as the Sahara desert but the salad was fantastic and fresh. Loved the dressing. Although I noticed some of the lettuce was browning and wilted. Overall, not bad! I was also given a dirty sharing plate which isn’t a huge deal but attention to detail would be appreciated. Also they did not accept a birthday reward we tried to use as they made some switch. That’s a shame because my family is a big fan of this place. We will be back. I’m not impressed but I’m interested in ramen night. Maybe that will change my mind.

The burger with an egg as 10/10, I wake up craving burgers at 7 am and they open very early. Service was friendly and attentive despite how busy they were. I found seating at the bar. I truly haven’t one complaint.

This is in the Rochester public market. It’s my third annual trip to have the breakfast sandwich. It’s so good that I dream about it. The people on a Saturday are eclectic and fun. It’s packed. Window seat was great for people watching. Had a chai latte. Staff was super nice. If I lived in roc again I’d be here every day.

I recently visited Public Provisions at the Rochester Farmers Market on a Tuesday, and I have to say, my experience was wonderful. Their cup of coffee was absolutely perfect—rich, smooth, and exactly what I needed to start my morning at the market.

One thing that really stands out about Public Provisions is their commitment to being an LGBTQ+ friendly space, which creates such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Plus, there’s a fantastic bread shop in the back of the store, so be sure to check it out when you visit! I highly recommend stopping by for great coffee and even better vibes.

Breakfast was ok. And I say that because it wasn’t great but I acknowledge the effort for trying to be unique.
Our first time here. My friend ordered the breakfast sandwich. She wasn’t a fan of the type of sausage (Italian I think). The biscuit was extremely dry! I think she kinda choked at one point. It was literally crumbling and falling apart when she picked it up.
I got the biscuits and gravy. Again with the dry biscuits. And I wouldn’t have been that bad if I just had more gravy. But they just put enough on to cover the surface.
Absolutely NOT worth the price.
Coffee was good though.

We went in with no reservation, got lucky cause lots waiting after us. The service was awesome, great recommendations on food and drink. The food was very good. I got the smash burger with a side salad and my husband got the hash bowl. We got a couple of cocktails too. My espresso martini was sweeter than I would prefer but still good and my husbands Bloody Mary was great.

This place is located in the Public Market, wasn’t busy at all for a Sunday Brunch. The iced latte was 10/10 but the food sadly was not. I got the chicken salad sandwich, with a huge side of chips that were flavorless and honestly just not that good at all. The chicken salad itself didn’t wow me, it was cut up in huge chunks which was very unexpected. My husband got the pastrami hash with an egg on top. He said it was good overall, but the pastrami was on the saltier side.

I would come back for the coffee and perhaps to try something else.

The food is always fantastic. The quiche is very special to my heart. The falafel and eggs Benedict are Also great. I truly believe provisions has the best ice cream ever (when they have ice cream). I go here with my boyfriend pretty frequently, definitely the best brunch spot in town.

Great Sunday brunch at a fantastic price – and no wait!

UPDATE: I’ve been back here a lot. Like maybe a borderline absurd number of times. The food is amazing, I have never had a single bad thing. It’s now our go-to for just about any occasion – friends in from out of town, birthdays, standard Sunday brunch/an evening out. Drinks are great. Apps are great. Meals are great. Dessert is great. Coffee is great. No notes. Please feed us forever!

An excellent first experience. Table was waiting for us at our reservation time with prompt service. We enjoyed a couple of appetizers of Crispy Calamari and Fried Cauliflower with a great bottle of Tuscan red. Dinner was Chicken Circle and Scallops. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back. So nice to be able to park under the market roof with the crazy amount of snow this evening.
