I’ve been going here ever since I was a little kid. We got the cheese balls which were fantastic. I got the triple threat burger. My burger was good but could have been better. It wasn’t as spicy as I had hoped based on it’s description. Service was great. Atmosphere is that of a classic college town bar.

My first meal with my dad on a campus visit 1997, rehearsal dinner 2003 for my wedding was there with my beautiful bride that we frequently went to. And now sharing cheese curds and beers with my son in 2025. Not much has changed and I love it!

As soon as we entered, we chose our own seats, which was nice. The waitress was super fast in taking our drink orders, and we were pleasantly surprised by how affordable the food prices were. It had been ages since we encountered such reasonable prices! Our meals arrived in no time, which was perfect because we were really hungry. We’re definitely looking forward to coming back here the next time we’re around. I tried the Chicago dog which I enjoyed quite a bit. Everyone else enjoyed their food too. #bucketlist

We stopped at Pub II before the Illinois State basketball game. It was 1 pm game and we got to the Pub at 11:15. Our waitress came soon after we sat down and took drink orders. We also ordered mushrooms, can’t go to the Pub and not order mushrooms! A food runner brought our mushrooms but no napkins. After about 15 min we were finally about to get her attention and asked for napkins and if she could find our waitress as we hadn’t ordered. Our order was taken and 1 person’s food came after 30 min. We had to flag her down again to ask when the rest of the food would arrive. At 1215, an hour after being seated the second plate was brought to the table.
Pub II is a college town staple, but this time service was lacking. They were not busy when we got there so can’t blame it on that.

Me and some of my close buddies had decided to give this place a shot after hearing a lot of hoopla about the great atmosphere. We’re new to the area so we wanted to get the authentic Blo-No experience. Fortunately blessed with a great server Miss Caelyn Tuma, she gave us so many recommendations for places to check out in the area and provided exceptional service. Although the food was not spectacular she made it worth the money and time.

It was a ok spot, it gave off a home town hero spot, the bathroom was nasty and smelled, the food was nothing to rave about it’s really dorm room food you cook at home. It’s definitely a spot to go watch the football games or any game, the burger looks like the hit at the location.
