Best Cuban sandwich in Citrus County!! The freshest bread and ingredients were perfect. A true Cuban. Freshly made. Who knew you could go to a pub for some of the best food ever at a great price!

Last second call to the owner Johnathan to take our 20th high school reunion after party, he responded “absolutely”. We all arrived to freshly stocked bar and karaoke. Smiling bartender with staff awaiting and we had a blast. Thank you so much PUB44 for providing a fun and safe environment so my alumni can enjoy our last night together. Hope in 10 years we can repeat our next reunion with you. Unforgettable!!!

Disclaimer: to whom it may concern, this bar does not serve liquor.

I was initially drawn to Taps and Caps because the outside of the establishment is littered with craft beer logos, which is quite exciting in a place dedicated to domestic overly produced beer. This is a new place, so wasn’t sure what to expect. I was quickly perplexed and confused.

Bartender initially didn’t know how to pour a nitro beer and didn’t seem to be very prepared to answer questions about what was on tap. I was also given a beer different than what was described. I was given a beer that resembled a cream ale rather than the nitro Irish Stout that was displayed on the tap by Breckenridge; this was almost definitely the fault of the distributor, so I don’t place fault on the bar for that obviously, but both the bartender and the owner seemed quite indifferent to my plight when I asked and every question I placed only seemed to annoy them further 🙁

The bar being lined with caps was a nice touch. There is also a brand new HD bowling arcade cabinet in the bar area, if that’s your thing. The music was good and there’s also some pool available to be played if that’s your thing.

Overall, this is still your run of the mill small-town Florida watering hole, except they oddly do not serve spirits (I only drink beer so I don’t mind, but I figure a reader might want to know. Taps and Caps gets the job done as any other place in the county would.

I wish them well and hope they have many years of prosperity, because it is still nice to see a bar available that primarily caters to beer drinkers!

Always very friendly people here. The owner is just another person in the crowd and is very funny. Prices are very reasonable. Bartenders are always on point. And the most important part, they take great care of their pool tables!
