It was easy to relax here. The service was hard working and attentive. My drinks were strong, which is expected when ordering doubles, yet not always delivered. They delivered. The food was also interesting for bar food, in a way that I enjoyed.

Pub 1281 is a hidden gem! The food is amazing – the owner makes a mean lasagna and the cooks are top notch! I have never had a bad experience or meal. The service is great! Fast and friendly. It’s a neighborhood bar that keeps the regulars coming back and is also attracting new customers with karaoke, live bands, Bar Bango and much more! Stop by for a cold beer and/or delicious meal. You won’t regret it.

TL;DR: 10/10, everything is good and I can’t rave about this place enough.
Since the first time eating here, I’ve taken a pic of almost every meal. Not just to create this review, but because they just look so appetizing. And dang, do they all taste good too! Everything on the menu is fresh, made with the perfect blend of ingredients. Burgers: any are awesome. Philly is fantastic. The chicken parm is just perfect, and Lasagna is homemade.
The atmosphere is none other. The best way to explain it: the neighborhood bar. Rarely loud enough that you have to raise your voice, even when packed. Clientele is chill, respectful, and aren’t afraid to make friends with those sitting next to them Feels like you’re home away from home.
Add to that the great staff, and the experience is above bar compared to most other establishments.
There’s pool tables, games, outdoor seating, and an outside bar out back too. So, if you’re in the area – make sure to make it a stop. It won’t disappoint!

This is my first time going to this place, very chill place, they have pool and they’re food is good, the only reason why I gave a 4 star is cause I asked the waitress for a refill on my pop and she let me know that there’s no free refills but I told her that I wanted a refill anyway so she left and after that she didn’t come back so I had to ask somebody else that works there for my refill. But other than that I liked the place and pretty chill place

Had a real “Friends” feel. But not worth the time. Walking in as a single/alone female is difficult enough but every customer should be valued. The food was so-so. The drinks were pathetic. The service was lame unless you are a regular or maybe a male. Just moved to the area. Looking for a comfortable place as a single female to go every once in a while. Been looking forward to going to this establishment. Won’t be back.

Stopped here for the first time, for dinner (took a chance). Food was EXCELLENT – burger was outstanding. The service was spot on, met Gina and Abigail both waited on us,,,both ladies had AWESOME energy. The music was great, food and service was spot on. Just really enjoyed our short time here. Joe the bartender has always been very friendly and makes great espresso martinis. The girls behind the bar today however, were rude, made a terrible drink and told me I would have to wait for an espresso martini glass if I wanted to be “fancy” (decided not to Tell them they did this on my birthday). Just because someone is at a bar alone doesn’t mean they should get terrible service compared to couples. Mozzarella sticks took 20 minutes.

Came in a few times these past weeks since moving from the west side. Nice “hole in the wall” vibe. My first night I met Samantha while she was working solo on a late night shift. She was pleasant and welcoming. Really made us feel comfortable. My next 2 visits she was not there and I felt “tolerated” by the tenders. Last night I came back and the place was BUSY. Samantha was there but, busy. She recognized me. Asked how we were and made sure I’d been taken care of. There were 4 workers. 2 behind the bar a male on the floor and Samantha was literally running everywhere, doing dishes, serving food, drinks and helping behind the bar. I was very skeptical on returning, but took my chance and came in. Glad I did. Great food. Good vibes. Drink prices are better than everywhere else I been! I’ll be back to see Sam for sure!

I was going through my news feed this morning and saw a video from a patron who frequents your establishment. His name is Lee and is infamous for making what he refers to as “Lee Reports”, he happened to tell a story of how he was looking for a place to go on Christmas and found that you were open! He explained that he asked Gina why you were open on Christmas day?, her reply was, “Well there are people who have no place to go, so we decided to open”. That one really warmed my heart, I think that was super cool to open up your place of establishment so those who have nobody had a place to go and share Christmas with. My hats off to pub 1281! Two very enthusiastic and appreciative thumbs up. God Bless…
