mad max the movie this place is it. Ill let my photos speak for itself. Camp site ,vendors, beer , food. And well rounded people from all over the states and out of the country come here. Ill definitely follow this place for more extravagant upcoming events.
We love the ride, the food, the music. everything.
Every time we come here, we have a blast.
Highly recommended.
The parking lot is mostly, if not all, gravel which makes for a sketchy time for trying to park a sport bike. Bring a kickstand puck/crushed drink can for underneath your kickstand, so it doesn’t sink in.
Psycho Silo seems like a very Harley/Male centric biker bar.
They had a sign advertising “Topless” day, which didn’t feel welcoming to me as a woman.
They had a noose as a prop, which also made me uncomfortable, especially since it’s the year 2025.
Finally, as a vegetarian, I asked the kitchen staff if the fried vegetables were fried in the same oil as the meat, and they said the fried vegetables WERE fried in the same oil as the meat, and so the fries/fried cheese/vegetables was NOT vegetarian. So the only thing I could eat was nachos, which was disappointing.
The venue is really cool though, a bit loud during live performances.
Hard to describe Psycho Silo in just one word—it’s part dive bar, part biker bar, part honky-tonk, part juke joint, part antique junkyard, part concert venue, and 100% unique. Basically, a prairie oasis surrounded by Corn and Beans, where you can kick back with a beer and soak up the vibe.
I grabbed an ice-cold PBR from the bar and a chicken sandwich from the food truck while taking in the scene: bikers, farmers, and retirees all sharing the bar. They throw concerts, truck & car shows, and motorcycle events—I can only imagine the parties here are wild. Honestly, as a DJ/Event MC, I’d love to spin a set at this place.
It’s seasonal, so I picture it being the perfect stop after a long Illinois winter—whether you’re on a bike, behind the wheel of a classic car, or just taking a Sunday drive.
If you’re looking for something different, check out their band and event lineup and carve out a few hours in the Illinois countryside. Trust me—Psycho Silo Saloon is a Midwest must.
Cash only- also pretty cool to see.
