My family and I were passing through and stopped here for lunch. When it took us less time to get a table than to find a parking spot, my expectations were high, and I was not disappointed.

Wait (table, refills, food): B+ (they do warn you fried chicken takes longer)

I was afraid I would regret not getting the ribs, as they looked outstanding, but the fried chicken was excellent. Everything was *fresh* out of the kitchen, hot enough that I had to let the chicken cool a little first. The menu prices are, frankly, shocking for a sit-down restaurant in 2026, especially with how much more “modern” barbecue joints will charge for some pulled pork and a couple slices of brisket.
I don’t know how they turn a profit. The menu has approximately 47 side items, and they offer them to you like your grandmother that thinks you need to gain weight. I ordered water to drink and I had to double check whether it came with two sides.
The service was good enough that I forgot what our server looked like, because we never had to ask for anything.
This is the kind of place you take your Midwestern family members when they come to visit to show them what real food is. Unfortunately, they might not want to go home afterward. Just a great all-around experience for southern food. No wonder it’s so hard to find a parking spot!

First time ever eating at Lil Pruett’s Drive thru. Initially wanted to go to the Pruett larger dining facility next door, how ever I miss the entrance so I end up at the drive thru place. The $1.99 bbq sandwich, I didn’t really like it. I felt it was bread, pickles and sauce. Where’s the meat??!?The $12 beef plate, didn’t like it much either. Too much sauce over the meat, the meat was cooked thoroughly. The mac & cheese was a big glop of cheese with very few pieces of macaroni. The fried okra was soft and squishy. The star and best item of the plate what is the piece of Texas toast. The Texas toast was very good. I will respectfully decline to try and eat here again. I was not satisfied my lips are still tingling from the spice in the barbecue sauce it was not an enjoyable meal. I recommend eating somewhere else. I gave it 3 stars because if a apocalypse happened and it was the only food left, it is edible it’s just not an enjoyable edible meal.

Conveniently located, this restaurant is always busy, they do have a large area in the front, so you can sit and wait for your table. The restaurant is clean and has a nice atmosphere with a fireplace in the winter.
The staff is plentiful, friendly and professional.
The fried catfish filet was very good, one piece is a large portion with two sides. The onion rings were excellent, light and crispy. They were served with a sauce that I liked very much, a smoky honey mustard maybe. The baked beans were a bit tangy for me but were ok. The BBQ is always a winner.
The Chicken fingers are huge. Lightly battered, seasoned perfectly. Some of the best I have ever had.
Three people in our party got the fish sandwich and said it was very good ( it is served with cheese).
To me it is a bit pricey (1 piece of fish and 2 sides $12.00) but the food is good.
They do serve vegetable plates that are very popular.

I came to this restaurant 2 days ago to meet up with some friends to eat in this location at 1:00 which we decided to eat here. It was our first time being here after the past few years every so often being always packed. To start with our orders I had the pork meat plate with sides while my parents and friends had the Mondays special which was the meatloaf and choice of sides. Next time I’ll listen to advice and have the daily special due to the total of much my plate came out. My plate was great, the pork was plenty in the plate and as for the sides also the same. enjoyed what they had. The cornbread which they had was quite big but felt they couldn’t eat everything with the inclusion of the rest of the food. They give big quantity in this place. It was a good experience coming here

This restaurant is amazing, definitely recommend coming here especially because the price is so reasonable. Ribs fall off the bone and fried chicken juicier than baked chicken, also the catfish was pleasant. Service was really good despite them being very busy, but that’s always a good sign, right?

So disappointed on how we were treated tonight the waitress named Jaycie was rude half way done here job was worried more about regular customers and play on her phone to make money and then complains about not getting tipped. I am so surprised that she even has a job with the amount of audacity she has. We will never let her sever us again.
