PROVINO’S ITALIAN RESTAURANT
BUFORD
The food id delicious. They start you off with a nice mixed salad and garlic rolls.
We enjoy the chicken parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, baked ziti, seafood trio and penne hot.
Our servers are always very polite and professional. They check on you often to refill beverages.
The atmosphere is definitely old school / old world italian. Its somewhat dimly lit with lots of private dining areas. The music is appropriate, the house wine is good and the noise is moderate, as this restaurant is usually pretty busy.
Bringing young children is ok, as long as they remain seated. this is not a place for kids to run around.
This restaurant is handicapped accessible.
Large groups are welcomed. I recommend you make a reservation no matter the size of your party.
Our family highly recommends this restaurant.

We’ve been dining at Provino’s for nearly 30 years, and even after a 5-year gap, they haven’t missed a beat. We recently brought a massive party of 30, and the experience was seamless from start to finish. Pro tip: call ahead to coordinate—the management was incredibly helpful with the initial planning. The lasagna was excellent, and you can’t beat the unlimited salad and garlic rolls. Top-notch service and a great atmosphere for large groups. Highly recommend!

Food was delicious. Absolutely love the pickled beets they use on their salad. Best I have ever had. Every year I go here for reduced Birthday dinner. You get spumoni with candle on top. Always makes it a special birthday!

I liked my penne pasta, although it could have had a richer sauce with more real cream. I would’ve like some additional peppers. I’m disappointed in the salad I got though. There were barely any chickpeas and mushrooms. I would’ve liked some arugula or spinach in there. I would have liked beets or radishes. There was a miniscule amount of mushrooms. The vinaigrette just ran right through it and was a bit tart for just the plain leaves. I was sad to eat this. *Just want to clarify here: the salad was mostly just leaves, barely any cheese, didn’t spot or taste any onions, and a few wedges of tomato. I counted after eating two bowls, a mere four chickpeas! Couldn’t really taste the cheese either.

Place has stood the times for a good reason. Great service and superb flavors. The unlimited garlic rolls and salad were great and way better than the famous place known for the same offerings. Even the take out that comes with rolls and salad includes large portions of the sides.

Alex was our server. He had patience with my Date & I (since we didn’t order right away). I know it was lunch time & the staff prefer patrons to come & go in a timely manner. We didn’t do Valentine’s Day, so this was our get together (a day late). Once we ordered, Alex took good care of us (got the order right since we deviated from the standard menu with minor adjustments). Kept our drinks refreshed (mind you, my date & I were pretty locked up in conversation & lunch was kind of 2nd nature). He stayed professional & understanding (outwardly anyway, he might have had frustrations with us keeping the table longer than many patrons might). Food was delicious, service was fantastic & I don’t feel we were judged for lollygagging. I did tip well (to help accommodate the potential loss of revenue Alex may have missed out on) – over 50% of the bill in total.
I would go back again.

We came here on Mother’s Day hoping for a nice family dinner, but it ended up being one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had.
Despite being told the wait would be 30–45 minutes, we waited over an hour and a half with no updates. There was no communication from staff, even as other guests grew visibly frustrated. After finally being seated, it took another 65 minutes to get our food — nearly 3 hours total from arrival to meal.
To make matters worse, the food was a huge letdown. The calamari was overly salty, the seafood pasta tasted like jarred sauce, and the mussels were sour and bland. Only the complimentary salad and bread were remotely enjoyable.
For a restaurant that knew it wouldn’t be taking reservations on a major holiday, this level of disorganization and poor service was unacceptable. I won’t be returning.

Unlimited garlic rolls and salad!! That’s fantastic on its own. We had lasagna and spaghetti and meatballs…yum. We were there on a weeknight and were sat quickly. Service was friendly and courteous.

Took my family for a birthday dinner for my oldest daughter. The service we received was excellent. The food was very good too. Well worth the wait if you get there and they’re busy.
