We went here on a Saturday evening. The place was pretty lively. There was a birthday party going on. I thought the food was pretty good. I really like the schnitzel both the veal schnitzel and the chicken schnitzel. Food also came out fast and are our waiter was very attentive. Pretty casual. Not really a formal place.
The biggest downside was that it was very loud. Pretty hard to hear my family but other than that very satisfactory.

Attended a DJ night at Prost, super relaxed bar atmosphere with German flair. Was still as quiet as you’d expect for a Wednesday night, but the service was friendly and the food wasn’t half bad. Great selection of German beers and Brats.

Even though I don’t drink alcohol I fell into a facebook group that my boyfriend belonged to when we first started dating called 8 O’Clock Shot. The people in the group are cool about me drinking coffee, OJ & Seltzer and N/A beers and I’m cool with the fact that they drink, overall they’re a pretty good group of people.
Last night Tom Perrone a member of 8OCS hosted his first ever vinyl night in Nassau County at Prost. Usually he hosts Vinyl nights in Patchogue at TwoMorrow’s Pub. Sometimes he’ll host other vinyl nights or afternoons at different locations. So my boyfriend and I were able to go.
One of the good things I appreciate about Prost is that it’s a bar/restaurant. So if there’s something going on and I need to bring my son I’m safely able to do so. I wouldn’t bring my 9 year old to just a bar but if it’s a bar/restaurant there’s nothing wrong with bringing him if I had to.
We didn’t get a chance to have any food, maybe one day on one of our future visits we will.
I had an OJ & Seltzer and a Clausthaler N/A beer. My go to N/A beer for drinking at home has been Athletic Brewery N/A beer but I had a Clausthaler once before at the American Hotel Bar in Sayville and Clausthaler is a good flavorful N/A beer. My boyfriend chose to have a liter of Miller Lite I think.
Hanging at Prost was a good time, one of the bars in Garden City that I would suggest checking out!

What a pleasant surprise! Really enjoyed visiting Prost for a late lunch this past week. We’re always looking for different restaurants that aren’t the same ole thing… figured we’d try this spot out and happy we did! The food was great – Maple Sriracha Wings were quite possibly in the top ten best wings I’ve had… flavor profile was set and spicy with a perfect snap in the bite! Perfectly sauced, not overdone – perfect. The Brats were delicious as well, we did the three for $30 which also came with two fresh pretzel rolls, as well as two very tasty potato pancakes (homemade apple sauce took them over the edge – well played). The waitress was fantastic and the perfect guide to the menu. We also had the Apple Strudel, which was off the charts! Highly recommended. The ONLY issue… that Backlot is AWFUL. Steer clear of parking there… it almost discouraged us from our otherwise perfect visit. Again, I’d recommend highly.

Fun bar. Always draws a crowd watching Liverpool games. Guinness is good. Food is good. Look forward to next time.

Food was fine but I dealt with a very rude waitress. We tried to remain as civil as possible but then she went and got the bartender to march up to our table as well to assist her in harassing us. It’s such a shame too because this is a local bar where the beer is good and the food is solid.

With my daughter going to Germany to study abroad, I decided to take her here to get a introduction and taste of what she could expect. It was fantastic, I’ve been here a couple times before and the restaurant never fails. Liz our server was excellent, she took the time to explain the various German offerings and stories about the restaurant. Very warm and inviting atmosphere, the restaurant was clean and the food was excellent.

Low-key dining, perfect for eating out with friends.
Prost is no-frills. The menus are paper and the forks plastic. They did bring real knives for the schnitzel dishes though. The food was good with hearty portions served. The staff is friendly and happy. The bathrooms are clean! The tables are widely spaced for COVID protection.

Great service and great food. The fact that they have all major sports on the screens including soccer(biggest sport in the world) is a big plus. Would definitely come back for some delicious wursts and the draft Weihenstephaner

A change from the usual dining offered in this area, this place serves some great German eats. The Brats are great, and I highly recommend the potatoe pancakes that are served with an brown sugar apple spread. The German potatoe salad was great as well and is made with red potatoes and bacon. Absolutely satisfied with our decision to eat here.
