The pretzel bites were good. Cheese sauce was good, mustard had a serious bite to it. The spatzle was tasty,it had a buttery flavor to it. The short rib was good. It came out Luke warm. It was done, but not falling apart, you had to use a knife. The schnitzel was done really well. It was very crispy. The kase spatzle was heavy and was more like a sauce mixed in than real cheese melted in. None of the food was typical for German food we have eaten in Germany. It was all good. The place looks like it could be a German bar. Staff was incredible. They were very friendly and attentive. They were all working their butts off. The place was clean.

Always my go to choice when in downtown DC to hang out and have authentic German brews. Can’t beat the happy hour pretzel bites with beer cheese and mustard. The Wurst sandwich and fries are tasty too. Gets pretty busy at times but have always been able to get a seat at the bar. Friendly staff too. Prost!

Great environment and a great place to grab a drink. They had a wide German Beer selection and everyone we tried was delicious. The appetizer sampler was a perfect variety to go along with the drinks.

Opt for the full liter; you won’t be sorry.

One if the best bartenders in town! The food is really good too and the happy hour is unbeatable. The bartender made everything better…
I had the chicken snitzel sandwich on a pretzel bun and swapped out the fries for potatoe salad. Good apple strudel too, was very bueno!!

Awesome place, great vibe, great food, excellent specials! I came in to watch some sports and have a beverage (or three) with supper, and I was so glad to find this place. Friendly staff made me want to hang out all evening. Plus, my server said they support Nebraska volleyball here, so Go Big Red!

Great German restaurant/bar with beers from all over Germany, primarily Germany. They have litre and 0.5 litre beers making you feel like you’re in Germany. Got some German food and it was great. Would recommend and a great spot for parties of all sizes

Hosted my boyfriend’s 25 person birthday party here and WOW! Incredible experience from start to finish. Finding a place to host a big group on a busy Saturday night is not an easy task in DC. With just one email, I was able to reserve a section at Prost for our party. HUGE shout out to our AMAZING server Shannon, kept everyone served and happy all evening. I was shocked how easy it was to do separate tabs for everyone, and Shannon was super organized and accommodating. The Christmas decorations were beautiful, festive, and so cozy. Also, I really appreciate that there was no cake cutting fee. I was able to bring an outside cake and Prost provided knives, forks, and tiny plates no questions asked. It goes without saying that the beer selection here is legendary- watching the birthday boy double fisting pitchers was awesome. I’m not a beer person so I highly recommend getting the hot drinks when available. The mulled wine, hot cider, and spiked hot coco were all delish. My only regret of the evening was not taking more pictures, we were just having too much fun. This is my fave bar in DC, can’t wait to come back soon 🙂

Great experience! Top-tier happy hour. I had dinner and drinks here with a few friends before a Caps game. We all agreed this will be our new gameday spot.
Schnitzel looked to be the heavy hitter on the sandwich menu, and it delivered. The bartender and staff were genuinely awesome.

The wait staff was very fast and friendly here. Got the Käsespäetzle which is a cheesy noodle dish and it was excellent. My husband got the wurst platter which was good as well. The portions were a little small for the price. Or you could also say that they were overpriced for the amount that was served. They have trivia on Tuesdays at 7pm which is via Greeks Who Drink Trivia. They are my favorite trivia company but I was a little disappointed by their two categories which focused on pride month. It was very politicized. However, I’m not holding that against the Prost since it’s on the trivia company. Their beer was good. Overall, it’s a unique place with authentic German food. A little pricey though but I would still recommend it.
