Absolutely loved my visit. The menu on the website sounded great. I walked the Riverwalk from the Embassy Suites and it was a great walk. The hostess was incredibly friendly and efficient. My server Steve was so kind and professional. He checked on me lots and brought a refill before I even realized it was less than half. He anticipated my needs and was funny and sweet. I ordered the pretzel app and the pork yager snitzel. Both were more than generous in portion and very authentic.
I will 100% be back.

WOW ! Honestly I have no idea why it only has a 4.7 rating…I read through some of the one and two star reviews and I can only assume those come from people that either never been to germany or are just never happy with any kind of food, service, establishment.
I was absolutely blown away by the very very cute and detailed interior and biergarten! (We are not in 1970 when german (Bavarian) restaurants looked like old timey, yes, even germany updated)
This restaurants has outstanding food, which represents a modern take on traditional german foods, while making them just a tiny bit different (just like you would see it in lots a of restaurants in germany !)
Price was adequate and service was outstanding !
Everyone was super friendly, fast and helpful (VERY ungermanischi! Haha)
We definitely will be back every time we are in Wilmington! So glad I found a great german restaurant!

Super leistung auch an den chef!

I came here for dinner and was very pleasantly surprised it looked very similar to other Beer Gardens I’ve visited in Germany.

The beer was faithfully served in half and full liter glasses, the taps looked as if straight from Germany, and had the hall style bench seating along with an outdoor patio and bar.

The food was amazing, having gotten the würst sampler and pretzel. The Jägerwurst was the best in my opinion. Although quite busy when I visited, the staff were very attentive and friendly.

We loved this place! So charming inside with all the plants and decor and exposed brick.
They had a smashburger special for $10 on Tuesdays which was a good deal for the amount of food. The smashburger was so good! I was a bit hesitant because it came with ham but it was a really good combo.
The potato salad was not our fave. It was served hot which we weren’t expecting. If you go into it thinking mashed potatoes it was more palateable haha but I think it’s our fault for not knowing how German food is served. The Mac n cheese spaetzle was good, not as good as the burger but interesting to try. We got beer cheese to try with the fries & that was good. I’d return for the burger for sure and I’m not even normally a burger person.
The waitress we had was really nice. We got our food quickly.
There is a parking lot next door but is paid parking. We unfortunately paid $8.50 to park for an hour. Street parking probably would have been cheaper.

Though I’ve only tried a few apps, they’ve all been amazing this is my go to spot. I usually get the Brussels sprouts, mac and cheese, and a beer. The food comes out super fast, the vibe both inside and outside is very unique, and it is one of the few restaurant downtown that actually feels nice to eat inside.

Many thanks to Prost in Wilmington for hosting a very special private birthday party today! Beckah and Chef Erin created an delicious German menu and a fun signature cocktail for our birthday girl. The warm and inviting atmosphere made all of our guests feel relaxed and welcome. Jenna, Samantha, our bartender and all of the wait/kitchen staff were prompt, courteous and provided outstanding service. Thank you Prost for a very fun and memorable event!

The food here was all crisp, fresh, and fantastic. Really just a solid place for fair prices. The cocktail wasn’t bad either. Really really good appetizers.

Growing up in Germany and being a very decent German cook , I loved the food, we were a party of four, ordered a variety of German specialties.
The quality is pretty close to authentic.

Prost is and always has been one of my favorite places to return to again and again with my husband! Quality German cuisine is hard to come by—and Prost has BY FAR the best German food I’ve had that was made by anyone who wasn’t family. The drinks are equally delicious, and the atmosphere is so cozy!
