We wanted to go somewhere new and decided to check out this gem! When I say the food was AMAZING and the BEER?! Omg. I am not a frequent beer drinker but it was incredible. The gentleman explained the history of the beer to us and it was so cool to learn about all the different breweries they use and how long they have been around; It really gave me an appreciation for how hard these families work to craft such an amazing drink. The service was exceptional and they really treated us like we just were friends coming over for dinner ️. It’s been on my mind all day and we can’t wait to plan another day out and have lunch again. 10/10 experience!!

My family is always on lookout for authentic German food for a reminder of my childhood in Germany and German family meals.

This place really delivers authentic German food at a great price. I’ve been at other similar restaurants with double the price.

Food was great with perhaps smaller portions, but the price point is great.

The food was authentic. Schnitzel were great and served hot, red cabbage very close to my mom’s taste, Bierock stuffed and cooked hot. I enjoyed the German Bier on tap with traditional Maß available.

The atmosphere is German but simple. It is a Bierhall arrangement, especially upstairs.

There is a small store at the entrance for rare German items for home cooking which we took advantage of.

Wheelchair entrance is available on side of restaurant and is not obvious. Parking is available in back which is not labeled. We were not sure where we should park. It was dark with little light, so we were a bit lost finding our way to restaurant entrance. Fortunately someone came out of a narrow fenced walkway that helped us find our way.

We expect to go back when we visit next time

Came into town to visit family. I wanted some real German food, my family had eaten at their old location. So this was the first for everyone at this location. We all enjoyed the food and some delicious German beers. Cute little store to buy items in front of the restaurant, had to buy some German candy. Will definitely come back and try more food on my next visit.

I had originally ate here when they were at their former location on Central in the train carts years back and it was really good. I came in again today and it was just as good as I remembered. I got the Bierock meal with the German potato salad and also the pretzels for our appetizer and it extremely good and fresh. Highly recommend this place for some authentic tasting German food at a reasonable cost. They also have a small German market within that is neat.

Gemütlichkeit! Authentic German dishes served in a modern/funky German beer hall complete with an outdoor biergarten. The menu is simple and addresses the traditional German dishes. Potato Pancakes, pretzels, Wursts and Wieners, salads, spätzle, Jägerschnitzel, and more. The Beer, Brandy, and Liquor choices will quench your thirst, and the dessert choices (and specials) will top off your meal nicely – if you still have room. We visited on a quieter week night, and I imagine Thursday through Sunday get busy – plan accordingly and enjoy!

Absolutely fantastic place to eat and drink beer! Friendly staff and good eats. I’ve had most of the menu and haven’t had anything I didn’t like. The mustard is good too! Beer wise I highly recommend the Weihenstephaner Dunkel and Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen. Brotzeit Teller appetizer was delicious.

I had the schnitzel sandwich for the lunch special with fries and it was delicious! The bun was crispy, the fries were crispy, and the pork cutlet was massive! overall very good and would love to come back again!

Super friendly service, unbelievable food and the ultimate atmosphere. Seriously it doesn’t get better than this. I left here having the best schnitzel and spaetzle of my life! Piping hot and fresh without much of a wait at all. Been going to this place since they were a food truck I chased around town. If anything, the taste just gets better and better over the years!

A fantastic lunch at Prost today in Witchita! Literally every dish was delicious and memorable! Particularly delicious were the specials of pumpkin soup and “Checkpoint Charlie” which was curry sauce with crispy pork served over fries. Maybe that doesn’t sound delicious, but we almost picked the plate! Also, the homemade bread was heavenly. Crisp outside and pillowy inside. We also loved the potato pancakes and pretzels with cheese sauce. If we lived in Witchita, we’d go back every day. My pictures are a little lame because we started eating, but you won’t be disappointed.

This is an excellent place if you want to taste of real German food and celbrate a birthday. Our only issue was that for the number of people that were there, service should have been much more timely. We got tired of waiting for our dessert and left taking our dessert to go. Probably won’t go back but the food was really good
