Jacobs commnication in relocating us from the patio to indoors was most thoughtful early on in the day for our large party when temperatures dropped to before freezing and again took away a lot of potential complications relating to the weather.
Apprecition will never be enough for our hostesses, Theresa and others. The comfort, care, attention and hospitality we received was beyond any expecation!! I was at total ease as they befriended the team, got to know everyone very quickly, made it all very personable and allowed us all to relax, have fun, interact, play games and were 100% present with us and with the attention to detail the entire evening!
At work the next day there was a renewed sense of connections amongst the people who hadnt connected prior to, along with a sense of unity, community, family and friendship at work.
The service, the food, the conversations were all above anything I have ever experienced.
Thank you so much.
We look forward to next time!!
Everything was outstanding.
For appetizers, Combination Platter, was more than enough to fill you. The soups were delicious- I had the New England Clam Chowder and my wife had the Lobster Bisque. Absolutely have to try both soups! Then came the main course:
I had the 16 oz. Bone-In Ribeye steak, medium rare. I forcefully drove the steak knife into the steak not realizing just how TENDER it was. I thought I cracked the plate. Wow! Every bite was mouthwatering and leaves you wanting more and more. It would be cliche to say the steak was so tender it melted in your mouth. But yeah! That was it!
My wife had the 20 oz. T-bone steak, medium rare. It was the same experience for her. There was so much, she couldn’t finish it.
The baked potato was slightly on the overcooked side, just slightly. I like my baked potato softer, if you know what I mean.
Service was excellent – with the waitress checking up on us every so often. Even the chef came out to make sure everything was okay.
Overall I give Prospector’s 4.5 ⭐️.
After we were served, we noticed that the table next to us received the pot roast. We questioned the waitress about it, and she apologized, saying she had misunderstood us. However, when we placed our original order, she clearly stated that the pot roast was not available. To make matters worse, she then asked if we wanted to buy one to take home.
At that point, we already had a full entrée that went uneaten, and we had come specifically for the pot roast, which was disappointing.
Overall, the food is good and the atmosphere is awesome. I can’t judge the entire place based on one mistake, but the ordering error and how it was handled was frustrating.
It hit all the right notes for a casual but satisfying night out. Definitely a 5-star spot—we’ll be coming back for sure!
While the waitstaff continues to be a bright spot—consistently providing kind, attentive, and professional service—the management team has unfortunately not met that same standard. In my recent interactions, I found the leadership to be dismissive and unwilling to provide support when issues arose. It is disheartening to see such a beloved establishment suffer due to a lack of professional oversight. Due to this shift in culture, I have made the difficult decision to stop visiting. I hope to see a return to the guest-centered leadership that once made Prospectors a wonderful destination.
