The chicken fried steak was the size of my hand, and the eggs were actually perfectly over easy as requested. And the prices are still reasonable. Only $19.95 for this chicken fried steak and eggs. Only two dollars for coffee. Highly recommended for breakfast.

I feel torn…I’m not a local so I don’t know what’s typical here, but when we came by the service was very, very slow.
After waiting 5-10 minutes to order, we waited almost 40 minutes for our sandwiches (our side salad came out promptly). We realized later they didn’t bring us our drink order. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, so I don’t really understand why it took so long.
In spite of all this, the sandwiches were amazing. We had the BLT & club. Generous portions, really fresh, just really good.
So, if you’re passing by Prospect on Crater Lake Hwy, stop by—just don’t be in a hurry!

We went for line dancing. Got there a little late so it was almost over but got to talk with Brent and Heidi for a bit. Great folks. Definitely will be back for the great atmosphere and to visit with everyone we didn’t get a chance to meet. They have bands coming up and so much more. Make sure you stop in and hope to meet you if we are there. We give it 5 stars!!!!!!

The vegetable beef soup was Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Fresh food. Reasonably fast service. Good portions. The kids’ mac & cheese was a kind my kids liked and actually ate, so that was perfect. We were just passing through, but my kids are talking about including this cafe in our future travel plans. I’m fine with that.

This might be the only restaurant in Prospect, but that was just fine. Basic and well done diner food. Hardy servings, and the waitress was really nice. They go from empty to busy when the people at the motel next-door start waking up so go early! My kids were very amused by the door lock, which was a 2 x 4 held in place by brackets. We agreed it was probably better than any fancy lock you could buy at the store. Thanks for the nice breakfast.

I had a great experience here! I traveled all the way from Medford and was not disappointed by the food and the atmosphere. The owners are also an absolute delight.

We were staying at the RV park in Prospect and decided to eat out for dinner. The only place in town that was open was the Prospect Cafe so we gave it a try. Basic local diner with standard menu. Our server was attentive and our meal came out in good time. My wife had a grilled cheese sandwich and I had the Chef’s salad. Both meals were good and the one unusual item in my salad was beets.

While doing this review, I am still sitting here at the Prospect Café. This, in my opinion, is how those places should be all around the US. Friendly people, the food is excellent, the place is so characteristic. I feel really well here, relaxed. An excellent way to start your day. Thanks from Italy.

My wife and I dropped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and quantity of the servings. The service was fun and friendly. While we didn’t have drinks in the trophy room, we did go in to look around. They’ve really cleaned that place up and have made it bright, warm, and welcoming.

The new owners bring fresh energy and a good vibe to the place. They hosted the Prospect Volunteer Fire Dept for our annual dinner and we all had a great time! Delicious food, generous portions and the staff was awesome. Natalie at the bar is a kick!! Welcome to Prospect, Heidi and Brent!
