Pros & Cons is an experience as much as it is a restaurant. Nestled within Wyndham Ocean Ridge on Edisto Beach, it offers an atmosphere of dark elegance—mysterious yet inviting, refined yet unpretentious. The menu is a tribute to indulgence, featuring masterfully prepared steaks and seafood, complemented by shareable sides designed to bring people together. With an extensive selection of cocktails, wine, and beer, every sip is as carefully curated as each bite. At Pros & Cons, the line between right and wrong disappears, leaving only the pleasure of the moment.

Our first time, stopped in for happy hour, 20% discount, seated at bar. This is a lovely restaurant with a private dining room & a patio, very clean. The woman that waited on us was nice & made good drinks. Ordered calamari which was fresh & plentiful. Our entrees were a bit different, while flavorful enough, size & creativity were lacking greatly. The shrimps & grits, listed with andouille, had none. It was just grits, 6 shrimp & a creamy shrimp sauce. The scallops & mushroom risotto was meager, scallops appeared cut in half & risotto was al dente, not creamy. With 20% off, the bill was still a shocker, charge 4% for cc, & there was 3 separate taxes added. Huge serving dishes, zero traditional extras or style. Nice for drinks & perhaps an app only.

We grabbed takeout tonight and were pleasantly surprised — especially for around $65. We ordered the wedge salad, crispy Brussels sprouts, the Wagyu burger, sweet potato fries, and steak fries (they definitely gave us more steak fries than expected, but no complaints here!).
The portions were generous — we probably over-ordered simply because we didn’t know what to expect, but everything was so good we didn’t mind one bit. The dressing on the wedge salad tasted homemade and was absolutely delicious.
We originally planned to dine in, but had our dogs with us (and promised we’d be back ). I also noticed they offer 20% off the full menu from 4–6 PM if you sit at the bar, which is a great perk.
Overall, great food, solid value, and we will definitely be back.

We visited twice during the week at off season, and we sat at the bar. The fried green tomatoes were the best we’ve ever had! Shrimp and grits was yummy, and the flounder filled with crab was delicious! Very friendly staff. We loved it!

Excellent food and service. The sea scallops were perfectly grilled, as was the Chilean sea bass. If you don’t want seafood, there are several steak and other selections available. There are a few deserts available; the chocolate cake was very good.

Pros and Cons really made out experience on Edisto Beach worth while. The food was delicious but the service was out of this world. The waitstaff went out of their way to make our evening special. We celebrated our anniversary her and I would highly recommend others do the same.

My husband and I went on a weeknight right before closing time and were met by a delightful bar manager named Chloe. The bar has a good selection of bourbons, IPA beer, and wine. We enjoyed a delicious Grouper Bites appetizer. Chloe told us about the extremely high in steak cooker and the present Chef who knows how to use it exquisitely. She also showed us a new area where you can have private parties and events that open up to the outside. The music playlist was great and well chosen.

We visited Pros and Cons on our last night of our beach vacation. Let me start by saying that the service was great and the restaurant itself was nice. We brought my toddler and I honestly was a little disappointed that they didn’t at least have one or two options for kids, but I understand and was able to get him a side off the menu. The waitress was great, the drinks brought quickly and the food was brought relatively quickly as well. The grouper bites were delicious and had a tangy sauce that went very well with them. My dad ended up getting the burger, which was the best thing at our table. The rest of us got the crab stuffed flounder. When the dish arrived to our table, there was absolutely no seasoning on the flounder nor the crab cake inside. The dish looked appealing itself but was completely bland. The crab cake had the amount of seasoning and consistency of wet white rice. We had to ask for any seasoning from the kitchen, and were only given salt and pepper. The side of asparagus was undercooked as well and had zero flavoring. The asparagus looked and tasted like it had been cooked with oil and lemon in a warm skillet for a few minutes, but we used the salt and pepper which helped. I will say the Brussels sprouts had a sweet chili sauce on them and were enjoyable. For a $40 entree and small sides that were $15 each, we were very very disappointed. You’re better off going to the Waterfront or even Sea Cow down the road.

My boyfriend and I were very impressed with dinner! We were very hesitant based on reviews, but very glad we decided to try it out anyways! Crab cakes were gluten free and delicious, very flavorful and full of crab. My boyfriend loved the filet mignon, cooked perfectly. Best steak by far on the island.
Felicia was extremely attentive and made sure my boyfriend’s shellfish allergy was catered to. We will be back!!

We had not been here yet, but saw the happy hour special from 4 to 6 PM with discounted food and drinks if you sit at the bar. We are bar sitters anyway so it was a no-brainer. We literally were the only ones in to begin with, but gradually more bar seats And tables filled up.
We had a delicious salad and shared the crab stuffed mushrooms. We also shared chicken piccata and it was SO good. The servers were friendly and we had a great time. We will be back!
