The Promise Land Market is a fun local spot. They have an extensive selection of beer and wine. They also have a nice selection of craft cocktails. The food is incredible. I highly recommend the Bang Bang shrimp, drunken mussels, burger, or fried chicken sandwich. The food items are all made fresh to order with quality ingredients. This is a perfect place to drink drinks and share appetizers or have a fun dinner. I highly recommend the pain killer… it is exceptional. They have Frose! And the old fashions are pretty darn perfect.

We ended up here after a horrible experience at Crab’s Claw restaurant. We picked Promised Land Market simply because it was open late and everywhere else was closing. Best decision ever! The front is a quaint wine bar with a great playlist playing at a perfect volume so you can both hear the music and have no trouble carrying on a conversation with the people at your table. The back end is an upbeat bar with comfortable seating energetic music and activities like a foosball table. While I would probably categorize this as a wine bar, it definitely has high-end restaurant quality food and you will not be disappointed for choosing it as your restaurant for the evening. It has a vast selection of craft beer, wine and artisan cheeses as well as a full menu and catering options and the prices are reasonable. It serves a wide variety of artisanal “bar foods” like tacos, pizza, and burgers. I had the black grouper BLT which was phenomenal. But they also have dinner specials. My wife had the yellow fin tuna which was exceptional. Our waitress Cheyenne was charming, attentive and knowledgeable. Service was fast and she was quick to check on our needs without being intrusive. Absolutely top notch service! All the staff were wonderful. We were even surprised to see they had a selection of Greek wines. This was a five-star experience all around and we will definitely be returning.

We just had lunch at another spot in the area but decided to stop in at Promise Land for coffee. The waitstaff and owner could not be more welcoming, attentive, and friendly. What a welcome change from what has unfortunately become the sorry norm at eateries in Eastern NC. It was around 3:00 pm when we stopped in, and they happily put up a fresh pot of coffee for the four of us. The coffee was delicious, the atmosphere is hip and fun, and the rest room is immaculate, with crystal sea-salt soap. Not kidding. Great tap beer selection, too. We will be back to sample their food menu soon.

My myself and 2 other ladies met for brunch. Food was hot And we asked for no seasoning What’s the cook did it really superb job with. The food was good , The service was good. We sat a little longer than we should have talking nobody seemed to have a problem with it we’re set in the front room versus the back big room it wasn’t too cold or too hot. We’ll definitely be coming back we enjoy our time here and the prices are good, Way more than fair.

Picked up for lunch and then went for dinner. Takeout order came with pesto instead of “green goddess” dressing. Text functionality in ordering platform doesn’t seem to work. Food had been sitting as a result. No utensils offered or included on pickup. Sandwich and chips were good. Dinner we got the brisket grilled cheese and the fish but. Both were great.

Husband and I went for an early lunch to celebrate our anniversary and the waitress was very sweet and attentive. She shared what they were known for and gave great suggestions. The food was good, however nothing I would crave to have again. We ordered the pimento cheese dip which my husband liked. We tried the crab dip- it was good. I had the lobster roll, which was tasty but you could tell it was imitation lobster, which is fine- I was just expecting fresh lobster. Husband ordered the crabcake, again was fine. Nothing was bad at all, but nothing was amazing either. We enjoyed our time together and may come back to try it again another time. Unfortunately, we were underwhelmed after reading so many wonderful reviews.

On a friday afternoon we came by to get a beer. We ended up staying and getting a margarita and a pesto chicken flatbread pizza, both were delicious. Nice selection of about 30 draft beers, they also have wine and cocktails. Great service.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The owner was very friendly, the manager Matt went above and beyond good customer service and the food was AMAZING. The restaurant in itself is a great ambiance and is just comfortable to be in. The carnitas were so flavorful and all around just the best meal I’ve had in a long time. They were so accommodating to my gluten and dairy allergies..Matt took the time to go over the menu options with us. We will be coming back here even if it is an hour drive from our house. It’s worth the trip. Thank you guys for a great weekend of good food!
