I really like this place, it’s got a great atmosphere. Plenty of seating and a vibey patio with fire elements. The food is fantastic, we got a brisket grilled cheese that was absolutely fire with the added BBQ sauce. Also can’t go wrong with the sample platter, it’s a lot of food so don’t be surprised if you end up with leftovers. And last but not least you’ve got a great selection of craft beer both local and some unique stuff on top as well.

We came to Project Social in Laguna Niguel for breakfast and had such a great experience. The breakfast burrito , salad were flavorful and satisfying, and the fresh juices were a refreshing treat. We sat out on the patio, which was perfect for enjoying the morning—plus, it’s pet-friendly! If you’re looking for a solid breakfast spot with good food and a relaxed atmosphere, this is it.

Enjoyed this atmosphere, Indoor / ourdoor seating with fire pit and water feature. Generally a casual hangout place with plenty of good food and craft beer options. Gather a table of friends and enjoy.. Note it can get a little loud with all the people talking.

Wide open air space with indoor and outdoor seating.
Walk in grab a menu or look at the big board drink and food menu. When you are ready order your food and drink at the “bar” area. Take your drink to your favorite seating and enjoy your beverage and conversation until your delicious food arrives.
There are menu choices that will cater to a wide range of tastes. They have a great tap beer selection from around the area. They even have multiple N/A options. Wine and cocktails are also available.
The staff were great. We even had the privilege to be the first customers of a new employee taking her first orders!
The open air atmosphere is great both indoors and outdoors.
Definitely add this place as a an option when you are in this area.

We probably just went at the wrong time…Friday night at 8pm.
Kids running everywhere unattended…almost knocked down an elderly woman, kids laying on the couch with shoes everywhere. Not really the restaurants fault… what’s wrong with parents these days? Food was not that great. Brisket grilled cheese soggy, vegetarian sandwich overloaded with some sauce. The food runners and bussers were fantastic though. The outdoor ambiance is nice but ruined by the unruly kids…the dogs behaved better than them. Yes, there are “dog tables”. I will probably give it another try at some point as the salad was good. I don’t know, still deciding.

Project Social is one of those rare spots that just gets everything right. The service is consistently excellent, and it’s clear they treat their staff well—you see the same friendly faces year after year, which says a lot about stability and fair compensation. Their breakfast is the standout (truly some of the best in Dana Point), but lunch and dinner are always solid too.
The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating and a crowd that’s always friendly. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, great people, and a laid-back atmosphere.

I love this place but unfortunately they’re the most non dog friendly place in South Orange County. They have the largest outdoor patio but only allow 3 tables in the far right corner for dogs? 80% of the restaurant is outdoors yet they still give you the most hassle about your dog at this location. I’ve been to countless places all over South Orange County and they give you the most hassle about your dog being outdoors then any other restaurant I’ve been to.. it’s kind of crazy. I can understand if your dogs aren’t allowed under the covered patio, but most of the restaurant even by the fire pit is not covered and yet you can’t have dogs over there? It makes no sense. I think the owner just straight up hate dogs. Be mindful if you have a dog coming to this location because they will give you more hassle than any other place I’ve ever been to.

Loved this place during our visit. We found it welcoming and not too overly mentally stimulating. Lively and fun, but not claustrophobic! If you from out of town try this place. Prices are typical for area, but

Loved the breakfast tacos, they were flavorful and a good size/price. My husband enjoyed his standard breakfast. Cool spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was helpful and friendly. Only complaint is that they don’t have a lot of dog friendly seating in the main outdoor seating area which didn’t make sense to us. Overall really enjoyed it and plan to return.
